No Prime

Beskrivning
New colonies will now be named after the planet, rather than the highly useless "Prime" and "Secundus" designations. Doesn't work for binary/trinary systems, sadly.

This mod no longer leaves roman numerals in planet names, but I found a trick to reproduce this.

FYI for any other modders trying to fix this, it may not be fixable as of 3.8.4 because some part of the naming appears to be in-engine. For more info, search for a conservation about this in the #modmaking-discuss channel of the "Stellaris Modding Den" discord.

I would still love to fix this, so if anyone actually reads that and has some ideas, feel free to reach out.

I've also tried "$PLANETNAME$" but that just gets you back to the vanilla convention, e.g. Prime, Secundus, etc.

I created a new mod to give that a try: it just results in the new colony box having a blank name.

Yeah that's fair. Full disclosure: I've had some tech issues between when i last uploaded this mod and now, and combined with the Paradox launcher being... not ideal, i can't figure out how to actually push an update, even after googling some things.

Maybe try editing the mod files to replace "$NAME$" with ""? That is, an empty set of quotes. If that doesn't work, i'm out of ideas.

It's kind of a huge deal, since one is obliged to alter the name when settling a colony. There is no functional difference typing to add "I" or "II" after the star name, versus overwriting "Prime" or "Secundus" with vanilla.

Yeah, it was weird about numbers with binary/trinary systems back when i first made this mod. No idea what happened to expand the issue to all systems, but honestly it's not a huge deal i think.
