描述
A Mod that allows Submarines to construct Minefields that damage enemies.

Only Works with Rising Tide.

Alternative Version:
Minefields (Worker Edition)



Minefields are a Tile Improvement that was added in Rising Tide, but never made available to players. This mod makes it available, and adds the custom code required to allow it to deal damage.

The Improvement overrides the yields found on the tile, rendering it useless for Citizens, and can be constructed in neutral and owned territory.

The minefield acts differently based on where it's placed:
- In neutral territory, it deals 5 damage to any military unit entering the tile (including your units)
- In your territory, it deals 10 damage, but only to military unit owned by a player that you're at war with.

Alien Units are also affected, regardless of Opinion, but this damage does not affect their opinion of the player.

Minefields are NOT destroyed when they deal damage.

Constructing a Minefield takes 6 turns on Standard Speed. They benefit from Worker Speed Bonuses like normal Improvements do.



A word on AI behavior:
AIs do not know how to use this improvement, or understand how to circumvent its damage. Thus, it is relatively easy to use the improvement to abuse the AI in all kind of ways.



WARNING
This mod must be enabled twice, or Unit Actions will not work properly:
- Activate the Mod in the Mod List
- Press 'Next', wait for the game to configure Files
- Press the X Button (or hit escape), wait once again
- Press 'Next' again.
The game will now work properly for the rest of the session, but you will need to repeat this process whenever you restart the game client. This is necessary because of a bug with the game itself. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it.

How do I unlock the mines? Are they tied to any technology? Thanks

Hi Ryika. Might seem like a very left of field request... however I was hoping that you might be able to build a custom mod for me for Sid Miers Beyond Earth: Rising Tide? Basically the idea is to add a "vassal" player to the game.
It would be a simple mod where:

1. An enemy you are at war with offers peace terms automatically when they only have their capital city left where they will offer to become an unending ally with you (they cannot declare war on you, but you can still declare war and wipe them out if you want) and offer to give you tribute of 25 energy, and 2 of each resource each turn. They cannot declare war on anyone.
2. If you liberate a city and bring a dead player back to life, they automatically are the same as mentioned above - an unending ally with all the same conditions.

I would like to discuss how I can provide a donation to help you to develop this mod.

Do submarines also benefit for increased Worker speed for the production of mines?

How do I unlock mines, what technology are they tied to?
