A and D allow your character to move left and right respectively. The left and right arrows on your keyboard serve the same purpose. Holding a key causes your character to run in that direction, tapping it causes them to take a quick step. The jump key is G by default. Pressing the down arrow or S will cause your character to duck. Running and holding the down key (or S) will cause your character to somersault. Tapping the down key will cause him to cartwheel.

Attacking with a sword:
There are three stances you can hold your sword in: high, medium, and low. You can move your sword higher or lower by pressing up and down on your keyboard. To attack, press F by default. Your sword can also be thrown by pushing the up key until your character is holding his sword above his head.

Attacking without a sword:
When attacking without a sword, your attacks cannot kill your enemy in one hit. With 1 dive kick , 1 low kick, or 2+ punches, however, your foe will fall to the ground, at which point you can break their neck to kill them by pressing down while on their body, and pressing the attack key.

If you and an opponent have your swords in the same position and attack, it will be blocked.
example: Attacking an opponent that has their sword in a low position while your sword is in a low position will cause the attack to block, and neither you nor your opponent will be killed.
The three positions also defend against dive kicks, low kicks, and thrown swords.

-The High and middle positions block thrown swords.
-Dive kicks and regular jumps are blocked by the middle and high stance (but only if they land on your sword.)
-Rolling is blocked by the Low position
NOTE: Blocking dive kicks and somersaults will kill the attacker.



You can also disarm opponents by moving your sword into an attack, for example:
In the picture above, If the player on the left moves his sword up while the player on the right is attacking, the sword will fly from the attacker's hands.

Your objective in this game is to run to your opponent's side of the screen until you are greeted by a crowd and eaten by a Nidhogg, which looks like a giant flying worm with a horn.
