Sounds about right, these things evicerate your units. Even the ranged lizards, Poor girl. Even laments about losing her other arm as one of her respawn quotes. She really is strong!

You're welcome. You know, it kinda saddens me that, although story mode gives you out some nice details about commanders, it also leaves quite a few questions unanswered. If only devs would expand it some more with additional missions and dialogues, that would be nice.

I've read somewhere a theory that poor Hopper actually lost her arm like this, got tangled in a barbed wire and had to took it off in order to get out. It is not known for sure, though.
