A Glowing Fragment is a Crafting Material which can be obtained from the Survival Mode or by playing the Campaign in Hard or Nightmare modes in various ways such as enemy or boss drops, scattered in various locations, and inside treasure crates/chests.

Glowing Fragment is a material that can be used to purchase Armor Skins from Whispers, the NPC next to the Root Mother at Ward 13.

Great! You've bought some sick looking skins, but don't know how to apply them? Well, the skin might not be for your currently equipped armor. The skins only apply to certain armor types.

Below is a chart of which skins apply to which base armor sets.


Helms are X scrap and x fragments.
Chests are X scrap and x fragments.
Leggings are X scrap and x fragments.

It's unfortunate that they don't apply to any base armor. Maybe with the new dlc they will consider adding it.
