"Mimimi really have outdone themselves with their attention to detail. I'd love to see if there is more like this. I know a lot of dialogue is taken from the first one as I know every line by heart, but I'm sure I've missed a lot of easter eggs and maybe even previous locations.

That is kind of stupid though, 1 plays after 3. It's also stupid that doc has both eyes, he lost his eye on the fight for gettysburg, which took place before the events in 3.

I never played 1 but one of Hectors throw lines in the mission says "this town used to be something". Really cool to see this.

even I find the last mission of Desperados III map similar with ambush at snake pass map from desperados its so cool they kept similarities

Well but the new "Grants" doesn't have many similarities to the old Grants. Only the train station is very near to the orginal. I would have loved it to see more locations from D1.

Dude, it says "Grants" on the building and it overlays pretty much 1:1?
Also Baton Rogue (the hangover mission) is Kate's level from D1.
