Ever feel that UAS contains too many options? Then this patch will solve your problems. UAS Lite tucks away non-essential ammunition types, 40mm grenades, and RPG-7 warheads to make UAS less complex. Furthermore, it also hides battlefield-dominating items like the 40mm MEI Draco away, making it much safer for use on public servers. The scope logic integrated into UAS Lite also permits the missionmaker to add hidden magazines back into the game, enabling full compatibility with existing missions made with normal UAS.

License:
Feel free to modify and reupload versions of the UAS Lite Patch as you see fit. This is intended to provide an easy Virtual / Ace Arsenal curation "switchbox" for UAS users.

THIS VERSION IS NOW OBSOLETE/OUTDATED.
The new and improved version can be found on my workshop.

Hey Berl, first of all, i really like your work, sentry guns are a life changer, and so is UAS, but i must say that i use UAS specifically for the explosives, specially the 40mm grenades, i don't have a problem with my 150 round magazine making my gun fire 5 bullets per shot, but i would say that most of the lag/delay in opening the arsenal is caused by the massive amounts of rifle magazines, my first thought of making a lite version of UAS would have been gutting most of these instead of the explosives

It would be great to have a version of UAS with just commonly issued ammo, so that SLAP-T is still there, for example, but not the really far out stuff.

If I may: a tutorial for adding said ammo types would be nice, or a small update to include them. I like the concept of UAS, but the sheer volume of choices is mind-boggling, and I don't wanna spend a whole day google searching just to learn what's basic vs what's kind of exotic.

Potentially. The way I've set UAS: Lite up is that you can add any magazines you deem non-essential to the config, copy the scope = 1; over, and redistribute modified versions as you see fit.

I'm happy to run you through the works of making a modified UAS: Lite more suited to your needs.

Any plan for an update? Recent updates of the main mod added more "non-essential ammunition types".

It's surprisingly not too hard. Grab Notepad++, Arma 3 Tools, and PBO Manager. I sent you an invite so I can run you through the works.

I agree, but simply put we would be fine with very few common types of ammo and then the exotic stuff. I'm afraid, that might be above my skillset but I'm not saying no. So feel free to share please :)

That's certainly possible for down the road, although I'd wager that the common stuff in UAS still holds a lot of merit due to how it effectively syncs guns from different mods in terms of damage and penetration.

If you'd like, I'd be happy to run you through how to make such a patch on your own!

Hello, have you thought about making an inverse lite version of UAS? As in lite version that contains only the "exotic" stuff like chemical, emp...? Our group really likes the expanded options, but doesn't really wanna deal with tons of common rounds we will never use.
