Fallout:Cold Ambition

(Please note that this is a pen and paper RPG set in the Fallout universe that I'm making for my friends and I. Anyone else is welcome to use the sets how they see fit but keep in mind this upload is mainly for convenience and this is NOT a finished game that anyone can pick up and play.)

War. War never changes. From the primordial soup to the atomic apocalypse... the rules have remained the same. Eat or be eaten. Everything between then and now has merely been refinement on an ancient struggle. In service to that quest generals, scientists, engineers, and businessmen labored over how to survive what some called the final war. Great vaults were built to house enough of the population to start over. Vast military caches with soldiers and weapons were sown throughout the land awaiting a call that would never come. Here in what was once a mighty empire's industrial heart, life struggles on. A shining chrome city on a hill called strangely FAB One.


Billowing white steam streams from its stacks day and night. None but the guild are allowed entry. Surrounding the city are high walls of blinding silver topped by robotic sentry turrets. Thousands have come from hundreds of miles seeking clean water, electricity, and hope. These refugees of the wastes form a shanty town city around FAB One. Hovels made of scrap and garbage shelter thousands. A place some call with a mixture of hope and irony... New Detroit. For most, all they can expect is clean water... the only free concession by the Guilds to the savage rabble. Anything more has the price of labor. Medicine, food, clothing, come at the price of labor in the various tasks that the guilds proscribe. Under the stewardship of the union princes of the great guilds, FAB One attempts to maintain its spark of industry in the wastes... and if possible rekindle what was lost.


You are mercenaries contracted by the Supreme Supervisor of FAB One. You are gunmen, thugs, and fixers that work for scraps tossed to them by the guilds. The business and engineering minded masters of the city have little patience for anything that does not function according to their plans. But they have wonders in their possession unseen this side of the atomic holocaust.
