Less Grenades

描述
The autocombat AI will not use the Vanguard Trooper's grenades. Human players are unaffected.

Ever since the AI took my entire starting stack and FLAT OUT LOST to a turn 1 quest stack, with ZERO kills, I have hated autocombat with a burning passion.

The autocombat AI loves taking them long-range troopers and suiciding them for a 6 damage grenade, leading to troopers losing super easy fights against trash units. I've had enough. With this mod, the AI will just... NOT. (However, they still do the rest of the dumb things the AI does, no fixing that.)

Details for humans: In order to cast grenade now, just use "pull the pin", an overwatch-ignoring free action. This will enable the grenade ability for the rest of the battle.

Details for modders: To my knowledge, you can't make the AI stop using most abilities, and the AI just LOVES using any trash ability instead of just attacking. However, by making this ability give a "debuff" (i.e. tagged as "not positive") the AI won't cast it and will never unlock the ability to shoot itself in the foot.

Details for autocombat AIs: go fornicate with yourself

But... but... it NEEDS to shoot it's foot. It WANTS to! Why you so cruel to AI, what has AI every done to you?

Yep, that's the point, to make the tactical AI a little less dumb so you don't have to manual combat every single fight involving troopers. The trooper marauders also get a little less dumb though.

Unless you mean buffing AI Vanguard players, which is a side effect of the mod. I don't think I can make that go away, but it should be fine as Vanguard AI still seems weaker than the other factions, even with one less foot-shooting ability.

These make up the bulk of the vanguard forces. They're disciplined and well equipped, but their obedience makes them predictable.(XCOM2 reference)
