There are many reasons why Turks get angry easily,

1-Feeling hopelessly, Because Turkish currency suffered deeply and peoples wages are no longer sufficient enough. Also the coup attempt in 2016 and the risk of war also makes many Turks to worry which in turn they get easily angry.

Financial problems, İn 1980 a normal government worker could easily afford to pay his rents and bills and send 2 kids to school.. Now days even two parents working full time it is impossible to make ends meet. The rents went sky high and living cost is like Paris or Frankfurt level but the wages remain low.

It's a typical mediterrenean climate habit. They live their emotions on the extreme level. But their anger generally don't take long and is forgotten within second. That means something like hatred don't prevail much in our society, we forget most of the things very fast and easily.

2-Problems with co workers, Job Security; You have found a good paying job after many years searching and some nasty prick tries to eliminate and be kick you out so that his/her friend will take your place.

3-Problems with family members, demanding more pocket money, kids private schooling, your mother in-law deciding to live with so she can make your life hell, etc

4-Traffic stress, in big cities number of cars increased ten folds after 80s but the roads narrowed in the streets because of parking on the streets.And on the main roads , rush hour traffic are like this;

But don’t worry the vendors will sell you water, sandwiches and telephone chargers so you wont get bored!

5-Overcrowded Istanbul , in 1975 we had only 4.5 million population in Istanbul now 17 million in Istanbul with 2–3 million commuting from suburbs like Gebze or Silivri and tourists .. People feel threatened when they are in overcrowded places..


6- Loss of green space, When you have a 50 floor skyscraper being built next to your home, you feel that your living & breathing space is violated and the noise of construction is the screw on the top of that… ıstanbul is the 15th city in the world by the count of skyscrapers…

In order to release , people needs green spaces and flowers and the mother nature.


When it comes to my anger, I'm angry only about ignorance. Not ignorance itself, nobody can know everything well, but to continue this even when you hear the truth and dont use the opportunity to learn, that makes me angry. For example many here on Quora would not survive a day with me, either land in hospital or in grave.
