that "bugged" CX-island's Clover box is not bugged, it is just "not guaranted" to spawn, if player has 9+ Clover Boxes already (CX-island is the latest new island, that player will visit in whole playthrough), so, if you dont farm Gem Mine's Clover Box at least 2 times, then you will end with at most just 9 Clover Boxes. So 9 is max "intended" amount, 10-th requires knowing and using that farm trick.
It is not bug at all, and very likely is intended, just another secret, the game has. Anyway, revisiting Gem Mine after collecting a box from CX-island is surely not intended (not on the path, no other reasons to come back, even if it is possible), so that "correct order" trick surely is not intended.
TLDR:
Without farm trick, max is 9, with a secret trick (farm) you can get to a technical max of 10 boxes.
This whole topic is a spoiler, and my post too, so you are warned.
* If anyone can prove, that Celebration Island has clover box, you are welcome to show detailed screenshots, or even better, youtube video-guides to prove it.
* all other Clover boxes (that i didn't mention) you possibly knew from various text playthroughs, i just explained less known box locations. I know about that stupid youtube video of LBA 2 Achievement App (maybe it is not stupid, but it doesn't explain anything, it just very shortly mentions, without explanation, so its not good as a guide).
* 7-th (CX island) - it is a secret (highly likely being skipped, so be be carefull), at my playthrough i didn't know how to find that secret. As soon as you appear on CX island, you should carefully take dropped key from right tunnel's guards, but dont enter the door, go back and enter other tunnel's door (left door tunnel from lift). Inside there is room/screen, where you need to fly with Jet-pack over gas/water - fly to the platform and use it as lift ("Action" in normal form).
* Either way, it would be worth to just repeatedly farm "Gem Mine's" (using crane) clover box until you have 9+ clovers (you get 10 the from Volcano island).
This whole topic is a spoiler, and my post too, so you are warned.
Weak guide, because:
* No screenshots, no explanation, errors.
* 6-th (Celebration) - actually it is not on Celebration, it is on Volcano island (or whatever it is called), the one of 3 islands, that lava boat (for 4 gems) has access to. It lays in same room/screen, where remaining surviving/hiding "wasps" gathered together in cave. That "Volcano" island is optional, so most youtube playthroughs avoid it to save some time. BTW gems respawn, after you revisit the island with that boat.
