Now you may have played through Hotline Miami 2 in "hard mode", and wondered if you could do the same to levels created by other users... The truth is that it always there all along.

To activate hard mode you are required to have completed the main game of Hotline Miami 2, otherwise the option is not available to you.

Activating Hard Mode

The method to activating it is actually quite simple, should only take a moment and anybody can get right to it:

• In the main menu, go to the level selection screen (CONTINUE)
  
  
• Press [Space] to activate hard mode (if you have met the requirements)
  
  
• Exit out of the level select screen back into the main menu
  
  
• Enter the editor level selection screen (EDITOR)
  
  
• Open any single level or campaign, and start playing!

See, that wasn't so hard! Now you can experience any creation in a whole different perspective. There are no known bugs to doing this exploit, you can swap between either mode whenever you feel so!

The noticeable changes that hard mode makes are:

• The level's orientation is inverted
  
  
• The ammo of a weapon will be cut in half every time you drop it
  
  
• Enemies are more alert and twitchy

Note: Hard mode does not affect the layout of an editor level, any changes regarding wall or enemy placement are up to the level's creator.
