Mega Man X had an MS-DOS port and Mega Man X3-X8 all had various PC ports throughout various regions.
On a side tangent this a reason why when people recommend games to GOG for their preservation library think a lot of games were console exclusive so they think they can just suggest anything but everything they've done have had previous PC ports.
Perfect examples being Resident Evil 1-3, Dino Crisis 1-2, or Breath of Fire IV.
The PS1 and PS2 games runs natively on PC?
I think a big reason the there isn't really too many mods for the PS1/PS2 era games is just because it's not a 1:1 process just to the conversion to MT Framework, I think?
It'd be a dream come true to eventually see X5 Improved and X6 Tweaked to go along X4 Undub
