LoW - Dragon Legion

Based on the Dragon Princes units, you can now field an entire army of Caledor's finest warriors, for when basic elven citizen militia units just don't cut it anymore. Gone are the days of faction color vomit and white plastic Dragon Princes as the units are fully retextured into a nice gold and steel style complete with subtler but still visible faction colours.
The units follow (kinda) the same statline as vanilla dragon princes, being near immune to any fire due to their dragon armor and well equipped.


An army requires a general, and who better to lead the legions of Caledor than their own?
Adding a new type of lord to the High Elf roster the Dragonlord is a more offensive oriented melee lord type. The new lord comes with some custom skill trees, ranging from simply added abilities to the blue line to expanded combat skills that allows you to customize his stats and increase his melee potential. A unique tree based of Imrik's allows him to improve any Caledorian unit under his command.
Unlike the vanilla Princes, the Dragon mounts he has access to are unique, while he can only choose one option they aren't so one dimensional as vanilla mounts. Each mount has different stats to suit what you want the lord to be and the Dragonlord can summon his Dragon into combat should you have him dismounted off it.
The Dragonlord can be recruited by every major High Elf faction.

Infantry:

• Spearmen, Swordsmen and Archers. Pretty self explanatory units, can be recruited at the Caledorian Rallying Fields early for Imrik and in the Dragon's Lair chain for the other High Elf factions.
  
• Shielded Archers are equipped with shields/spears and bows for a more defensive ranged unit, same ranged potential as the archers.
  
• Dragon Guard are the equivalent of the Phoenix Guard, recruitable as halberdiers or equipped with halberds/bows. With armour piercing melee and ranged piercing magical missiles on par with Sisters of Avelorn but with a shorter range.
  
• Dragon Swordmasters are just Swordmasters made to fit the army, a bit stronger than the vanilla counterpart.

Cavalry:

• Dragon Knights are basically Dragon Princes cavalry made to fit the rest of the army. They come in 4 variants Lances, Swords, Halberds and as mounted Archers. They have their own roles to fit and generally none should outclass the others by much.
  
• Chariots armed with halberds and axes they fill the same role as Ithilmar chariots but with some brutal armour piercing damage.

Artillery:

• One new artillery unit has been added, the Dragon Breath Thrower is an alternative to the standard one, it's function is still pretty much the same but it's more effective against massed infantry and sieges.

All units will be recruited from the Dragon Lair chain starting at the new tier 3 building.

Caledorian Palace it's a new building exclusive to Imrik aswell as the default Caledor faction, allowing the building and recruitment of Dragon Legion units much earlier than anyone else, since they are from Caledor. The building also combines the effect of the Court chains and Dragon Lair chain in one so you don't have to waste the already rare building slots, you will still require the default building for Technology unlocks.

• The Dragon Lair building chain has a new tier 3 added to it to allow the new units to be better spread across the tiers and not clutter the UI aswell.
  
• The Dragon Princes cavalry unit from vanilla has been buffed in order to make them truly elite and not just the underwhelming unit they are. Speed, unit mass, weapon strenght, melee attack/defense, hp, costs have been changed to make them a tier 5 unit not and overpriced tier 3 one. They are now worth getting for everyfaction not just Imrik.
  
• The Fireborn regiment of renown has also been slighty changed.

• Units will scale with Dragon Princes lord/tech skills, ammo count/damage for missile units uses the skills and tech for archers but uses only the buffs for missile damage/range or ammunition, other stats will get boosted by whatever affects Dragon Princes tech/skills.
  
• Now the Dragon building chain also provides a small garrison of 2 archer units to the region it is built in, according to its tier adding an extra bit of defense to the lacking High Elves garrisons. Why wouldn't they defend the already rare dragons and their lairs?
  
• The AI will also use these units against you! Given they have the availability they will recruit these units in uniform stacks made entirely of Dragon Legion units potentially adding extra difficulty when facing them. Seems fair thought doesn't it? The AI will consider these stacks on the same priority as their other armies so you will still see their default army compositions around.
  
• Imrik gets a faction specific perk of having a unique building and being able to recruit these units earlier than anyone else. Suck it Tyrion.
  
• These units are only recruitable by the major vanilla High Elves factions, it will not work with smaller ones you might be playing with unlockers. Tyrion, Teclis, Alarielle, Alith Anar, Imrik and Eltharion can all recruit them.

1. No taking of any assets in this mod unless you ask for permission, it's kinda rude to take stuff without asking.
   
2. I will not personnally make compability patches with other big overhaul mods, if you want to make your own patch feel free to contact me, i'm easy to reach.
   
3. The mod will work 100% of the time in vanilla, crashes when using other mods are not my responsability. I try to make the mod as compattible as possible but something can go wrong, if it crashes try launching the mod on it's own first and then see what mods you could be using that conflict.
   
4. Mod works fine with my other mods from the series.
