each railway line is one direction (like road).
Even if you only have 1 single dot for the station, as long as you connect perfectly 2 (or more) lines yo said dot, you can have 2 (or more) single line railway (hold alt to change direction)
When i said i don't need roundabout because no queue, i mean that i go city to city with my trains VS what is shown on this guides avatar. But even then, you only need a little segments of double way to do a crossover.
And just to clarify. I don't mean drag lone tracks, but small segments, click after click. Because if you zoom in, you notice that each click added a signal. Each signal meaning you slit the rail in mutiple segments. Aka 1 train per segment. Meaning there more segments you have, the more trains can go on the same line at the same time, one behind other.
So while it's time consuming to do tons of segments, the result is trains (of the same speed) go at the same time. Thims means i never need to create roundabouts since no queue

Takes up way too much space!
Now... how do I upload a screenshot, to show you how it's done . . .
Made a video about this, too.
