Lowerable Monorail Track with Stops

Beskrivning
IF YOU LIKE IT, RATE UP, PLEASE! Helps more people find this, too

Free to lower the rails! Free to make your own stations! Free to run around all day! Free to do it all your way!
This lets you go below the minimum vanilla height if you need it, even to the ground if you like. It's Ron Quiney's Ground Level Monorail, both one-way and two-way, also now with stops, so you don't need a monorail station to have stops, or you can simply build and fake your own station around it.

Or just drop off your cims in the middle of nowhere and make 'em walk. Guess that's cool too.

Issues & Updates
2W cross track doesn't appear on perfectly straight junctions. I'll see if this can be fixed.
[Previous changes moved to Change Notes.]

Asset names
  • Ground Level Monorail 1Ws
  • Ground Level Monorail 2Ws

Original Description
Usual Monorail track that you can lower to a ground level.
Useful for creating underpasses and smoother elevation transitions

If you want the versions without stops, here there are. They can be particularly useful in cases where you have a lot going on and want to isolate which track segment will have the stop you want to place.

Future Plans
I will try to add a tunnel version if I can.

Thanks again to Ron Quiney / Rocky ★ for opening the door to this project, and making new images and icons for these assets.

@chaycebell846, might be able to help out but need more details. If it helps, having stops means this asset has pedestrian paths included alongside its lanes (like how roads can have sidewalks). You still have to make sure the cims can reach the track, by paths or nearby roads, and of course set up the metro line properly. When elevated, cims will even hover up to the stop or down from it, so if ped paths are close enough and cims actually DO want to use the stop in that location, it should work (kind of a key point; you might think it's the asset but maybe it's just the stop location they don't like, lol - it complicated my testing).

Cims dont use the stations :(

This will be perfect for making functional monorail depots; just combine with REV0’s Railyard collection and I’m all set.

It is! Really nice job! Especially once you confirm it's working, let me know if I can add your pic to the info; I'll add appropriate credit of course.

@fic212 Great to hear it! I know this is useful just as a station track, but if you use it as primarily designed to sit lower than normal tracks, I'd love to see a pic!

Thx @Sp3ctre18, path was the problem. Once I moved it a little closer, everithing starts to work. :steamhappy:

@fic212, do they have pedestrian access, by road or pedestrian path? And unless you're replacing an existing station, it may take time for cims to care about a new stop and use it.
