Left my computer running for about 3 hours straight while i went to shop with my mom. When i got back, game was chugging along at about 8 fps when a round was in effect ;)
This was back in late 2020. I dodn't remember all the edits, but hopefully, this guide helps you get the idea of how and what to edit.
I cannot help you much more then this guide.
EXOR got an official discord where you can talk about modding XMD.
People are very friendly on EXOR.

Or for a less "Cheaty" one, you can change the 'set part_collectable_lifetime' and 'set collectable_part_max_number' to a higher number, as this only makes the Collectable Debris last longer and increase(or decrease) the number of Debris that can be on the ground(I would not recommend setting it to too high, as it might crash your game).

Quite damn fun.
haven't tinkered with moving fire effects yet.
