Space is another game mode that is unlocked after you've reached 185 empire points, and it comes with new buildings and resources. If you've reached space for the first time, you're probably confused about what buildings and resources to prioritize. This guide aims to help you get past space quickly so that you can go back to the main game and enjoy your new mutations, all while keeping amber costs reasonable.

If you would prefer not to follow a step-by-step guide, skip the walkthrough section.
Buildings, Upgrades, and Research
Planet base ore production is supposed to be based on Empire Points, but it seems like it's stuck at 188 ore per second?

Yes, this is currently bugged. You can still affect it with multipliers from research and orbital amplifiers, but they'll be a lot weaker than expected.

You will also get a bonus: +100% to the empire points. (2 EP every 15 tiles after completing space once, 3 EP every 15 tiles after completing space twice, etc.)
Walkthrough
Amber spent: 324-329. You'll need 199 more amber for an upgrade later if this is your first time, so have at least 528 amber.
Estimated time: 4-15 minutes of playing

Before you begin, make a save file.

1a. If this isn't your first time following this guide, you should be familiar enough with the steps. Start by timelapsing 30 minutes to save up to 50 seconds. (If you need to spend time reading this, you've probably got enough ore already.)
1b. Wait for 5k ore (26.6 seconds if you didn't timelapse in 1a) and build 1 energy crystal.
2. Timelapse 30 minutes.
[188 ore, 1 energy/s] (5 amber total)

gosh
2775 tiles needed for this mode?

You can easily farm amber when you can go to space, just get tiles and Sail away few more times and you can easily get a few hundred more.

Yup, space lab is unlocked too late and costs too much to be effective (lots of ore). Sputniks are cheap and scale well, with the main limiting factor being energy to open new sectors.

So the Space lab is basically a big joke just like the whole space thing?
Just build some stuff and wait a day for the 10 mil research yes?

Did you need to buy that much amber? or do you start accumulating it quicker
