The first thing you need is another player on your friends list.

The second thing to do is to invite the person.

Third, switch controller places with them in remote play. So now you're player 2 and they're player 1 and have control of the menus. You can make yourself player 2 even if the other person doesn't own a joypad.


Now restart the game, and you should be able to control the menus like you're the first player with your controller.

Now playing by yourself, select NYC Map


And it should look like this if you were successful, where you show up as player 2 but still have control over the menus. Press the arrow keys or WASD to get the player 1 icon to show.

1. You can't play solo with a keyboard

2. You can't play online

3. You can't unlock achievements by yourself

So it presents a ton of problems, but this might be the only method to play it this way.
