Run away then overwhelm, repeat.
Though I might recommend against using vests early game since that's an easy way to go RP-bankrupt. I usually reserve them when using a rare weapon I don't want to use or planning a risky assault.
I will say that one excellent use of low walls is specific to LMG users (like myself, I just love that DAKKA), since being able to fire from crouched is a HUGE plus for LMGs and being in cover during long reloads is much much safer. But using an LMG is as much about suppressing the enemy as killing them, since you can't rely on killing the enemy right away due to your inaccuracy you must instead rely on suppression and cover to protect you... but this is a huge support to allied players with your playstyle who can eliminate suppressed enemies even more safely than before.
So even if a player doesn't intend to play like you, understanding exactly what players like you are doing helps to support those players which means the whole team is more likely to survive and win a battle. Great guide, should be something literally every player understands!
