You just need to go to the game installation directory of Armymen RTS and find this file: dbghelp.dll and then rename it to dbghelp_old.dll. Here is the path to the directory where this file is located in my computer: \ Army men Rts \ library \ dbg \ xxx.

How to open your Armymen RTS install location :

- First, go to Steam Library Tab and right click on Armymen RTS game and chose Propertiles :



- Second, chose Local File tab and choose Browse Local Files :



- Third, go to \library\dbg\ you will find the file you need to change right here, change it name from dbghelp.dll to dbghelp_old.dll and you're done.



If even after those steps it still doesn't work try this :
- Install Directx 8.0a for windows.
- Reinstall Graphic Driver using DDU.
- Try to run file amrts.exe with Compatibility windows xp, windows 7.
- Reinstall the game and then change dbghelp.dll again.

If even after those steps it still doesn't work try this one :

"If renaming dbg didn't work try this... it worked for me.

1. Download the latest version of dgVoodoo
2. Extract dgVoodooCpl.exe and all the files from the MS\x86 folder into <path-to-game>.
3. Run dgVoodooCpl.exe, and in the DirectX tab, set the desired resolution.
4. (Optional: enable anisotropic filtering, so that menus and text are not pixelated).
5. Click Apply to save the settings, then click OK to exit the program.
6. In the game options menu, select a resolution that has the same aspect ratio as the one set in dgVoodoo.

I found all this in the second link under widescreen resolutions and thought it would work as a directx 8 "emulator."
