This is a build focused on close ranged combat and zapping people with stratopotential field. It's great for deathmatch, SDL, wave mode, gladiator mode and spire battle. You should be familiar with game mechanics and controls before you use this build. Have fun!

Pros and Cons
Pros
  • Fairly quick and maneuverable
  • High damage output
  • Quite durable
  • Satisfying to use
  • C5G Lancer is the only ship that can do P-Bat and Gravlight Array combo.

Cons
  • Poor heat management
  • No long range weapons

Grappler nodes

Kinetic Drive(4/4)
  • Photon Bat(size:1)(short: P-Bat)
    -Your main weapon. Fully charge it to deal insane amounts of damage.
  • Tele-orb Cannon(size:1)
    -Use this to get quickly to combat and to chase enemies.
  • Zeal shielding(size:1)
    -Works wonders for this build. More succesfull attacks=less damage taken.
  • Agile Shield(size:1)
    -In case of trouble, just run.


GravMag Platform(2/2)
  • Mass Grapple(size:2)
    -Hit more enemies with your P-Bat.
Caster nodes

Caster drive(4/4)
  • Arc Barrier(size:1)
    -Take only 50% damage when overcharged.
  • Excess Capacitator(size:1)
    -Deal 15% more damage when overcharged.
  • Caster Drive(size:1)(short: CD)
    -Your movement in combat. You can't use this while charging the P-Bat and vice versa.
  • Advanced Caster Drive(size:1)(short: CD)
    -Your movement in combat. Unlike the basic CD, you can use this while charging CD and P-Bat


Mass Emitter(4/4)
  • Stratopotential Emitter(size:2)
    -This ability is best used after using Mass Grapple and before releasing charge on the P-Bat.
  • Gravlight Array(size:1)
    -Massively increases your damage from the P-Bat(from 400 to 1500) and your CD.
  • Auxiliary Repulsor(size:1)
    -Lowers the cooldown of the P-Bat and both CDs by 50%.

    -You need a lot of maneuverability for this build and this solves the problem.


Auxiliary Drives(5/5)
  • Persistent Drive(size:3)
    -More maneuverability
  • Thermal Dampening Module(size:1)
    -Improves your brakes
  • Overthrust Module(size:1)


Heatsink(4/4)
  • Hyper-ventilated Heatsink(size:3)
  • Charged Cooling Module(size:1)
    -You need more cooling than energy


Power Hub(7/7)
  • Twin-cycle Power Hub(size:4)
  • 2x Energy Regen Module(size:2x1)
  • Overclocked Reload Speed Module(size:1)

Shield(7/7)
  • Shell Shield(size:7)
    -You need more HP than HP regen. If you need to recharge shields, use the Sage Shield.

  • Tempraflect Shielding(size:1)
    -Overheating is your main weakness. This solves the problem
  • Nano Repair Bots(size:1)
    -Best way to repair your Hull.

Veterancy and Corona
Caster Veterancy(5/5)
  • Charged Caster Core(size:1)
    -More DpS, no need for aiming. It also highers your energy every time it hits(including both the active and passive ability)
  • Battery(size:1)
    -Gives you and your allies energy and overcharges you.
  • Glass Cannon(size:1)
    +15% damage taken and dealt. You can cope with the con thanks to your Shell shield.
  • Ultimamp(size:1)
    +20% damage from Stratopotential Emitter
  • 1 Veterancy of your choice excluding Aftermaths (size:1)

Corona(5/5)
  • Shield Macro(size:2)
  • Salvation(size:3)
    -Great combo for getting you from bad situations.
Strategies
You can score easy kills(=one hit) on squishy enemies.
Beware of heat adding enemies, ships with Nemesis Retaliation Array(mostly Arsenals) and disarming ships(Rouges).

Against groups of enemies:
Fly into a bunch of enemies, start charging P-Bat, use Mass Grapple, than Stratopotential Emitter, aim yourself at your enemy and release the P-Bat.

Against a solo enemy:
Start chrging your P-Bat, hit the enemy with your Tele-orb and release your P-Bat. If the enemy looks like running, use your Mass Grapple.

When pushing in SDL:
Join a group of friendly drones and sages. Target a tower with Attack Target command(F1).
Let the drones get to the tower and then Tele-orb to the tower core. Fully charge your P-Bat and wreck it. Remember to keep using the Stratopotential Emitter during the encounter. If there are no drones in the range of the core, run.

Farming Plex:
You can complete 1 game of Deathmatch on Runner in about 5 minutes. This will give you something about 13000 pKgs of Plex.
