This is a very helpful guide. I'm noticing a lot of missed info, like in the Life Choices. But even so, this is extremely useful and I appreciate the effort put into making it

Love this guide for the relationship part of the game, however I lost a bit of relationship with Marleen Xi by freestyle rapping to her, will update with how much if I can replicate it!

After some more testing, I noticed I was counting my baby's Roll Over Trait, so that's one extra IQ that wasn't supposed to be there (same-gen stat bonus, doesn't apply). Also, that trait seems to NOT give IQ bonus, so let's forget IQ for a moment.

These are my calculations: Bonus I have, minus the original +5, for actual bonus. And then Traits, Job and Dad, to check if it's correct.

IQ: +21-5, +16. +9 (8), +6, +2= 16 (Right)
EQ: +25-5, +20. +7, +6, +2= 15 (Wrong, 5 missing)
CON: +19-5, +14. +4, +5, +0= 9 (Wrong, 5 missing)
MEM: +24-5, +19. +7, +5, +2= 14 (Wrong, 5 missing)
IMA: +25-5, +20. +8, +5, +2= 15 (Wrong, 5 missing)

So... that's interesting, to say the least. SOMETHING is giving me +5 to everything except IQ.
And the only way to make IQ fit is if I DON'T count Rolling NOR Crawling. Which, again, Rolling makes sense (same-gen, it was my bad). But Crawling should count. They ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the code for that Trait, methinks.

Still, where's that +5 to all coming from...?

For extra information, I checked constituion as well.

Baby has +19 (+14 if we ignore the original +5).

Checked traits: +4
Dad: +0
Job: +5 (T3)

I'm getting 14, but I can only locate 9. And that's with mom's job using T3, but in IQ it seemed to be using T1 which would be +3 and not +5.


So for IQ I had 2 less than I should. For Constitution I have 5 more than I should.

The way I see it, I can only think of 2 options.
1) The dad information is wrong and he gives no IQ. Therefore, +10+0+6=16.
2) The game is actually pulling the Job stats of Tier 1 (+4), despite mom being T3. In that case, +10+2+4=16.


If it's case 1...it's just a case of bad information in the guide and in my memory. But if it's case 2, there's something I don't get.

Any ideas?

So... Let's see if any peep here can help me, cause I'm not sure I get Stat inheritance.
I just started Gen 2. There's some numbers ahead, but let's make it simple.

My Gen 2 baby starts at +21 IQ/turn. Considering the original is +5, that means I got a real grand total of +16. Good? Good.

I checked my Trait Gallery, three times. +10 IQ.
Mom married John Zhu, who according to the guide gives +2 IQ. I'm 99% sure I checked myself, and it was correct, but at this point...I wonder.
And last, mom landed a White Collar job, Tier 3/3, Specialized Doctor. That gives +6 IQ
That's +10+2+6=18. Last I checked, 18 weren't 16...
