Dropship 77-Troop Carrier

The Dropship 77-Troop Carrier, abbreviated D77-TC, or more commonly known as the Pelican, is an extremely versatile aircraft used by the UNSC. Used mainly for medium-lift operations of various personnel, vehicles and equipment, it can also be used as a powerful support gunship.

UNSC Air Force Variant

The version of the Pelican used by the UNSC Air Force features a few major differences from other variants of the aircraft. First, the cockpit layout resembles that of the newer D77H-TCI model with the co-pilot's station located behind and above the pilot rather than side-by-side. Also, most Air Force Pelicans have chin-mounted M638 autocannons rather than the 40mm or 70mm weapons typically mounted on Marine Corps Pelicans. Another difference seen in Air Force Pelicans is that the cockpit is not separated from the troop bay; instead the troop bay and cockpit form a larger interior space than on the Navy and Marine Corps Pelicans.

Updates:

[1] – Significantly updated exterior and interior to accurately reflect the D77-TC Pelican design seen in Halo Reach.

[2] – Updated paint scheme to a lighter green as opposed to the dark green used in a majority of my UNSC builds. Subtle shading and weathering has been placed in some areas.

[3] - Removed subgrid passenger seats with modded passenger seats seats to reduce negative performance.

[4] – Adjusted settings of the rear engines to allow movement during flights.

[5] – Complete overhaul of thruster system. Replaced hydrogen system with ion thrusters and repulsor engines.

[6] – New magnetic lift system that utilizes a piston and landing gear to easily load cargo and vehicles.

Notes:

[1] - You must enable supergrids in the Advanced Settings to use this vehicle.

[2] – Due to the amount of subgrids on the Pelican as well as the subgrid thruster manager script, the D77-TC has a tendency to descend relatively quickly when stationary.
