From the Steam Store Page, "Be one of those intrepid storm chasers in this online multiplayer video game. Your goal is to shoot the best twisters pictures without dying because of powerful winds and flying debris. Feel the challenge of correctly forecasting and intercepting storms with the optimal vantage points before other players."

This guide is for players who are new or forgot how to play. The guide will be subject to change as Storm Chasers updates

Keep in mind this guide is a bit sloppy so expect some hooba dooba stuff.

Basics










  • Scores - Located at the top middle of your screen. Will help you rank up as long you don't convert them into money.
  • Health - Self Explanatory
  • Money - In-Game currency. Use to purchase equipment, fuel, and even repair your vehicle!
  • Time - Located where the scores are. Again Self Explanatory
Camera










The camera is one of your most vital tool for your storm chasing adventure.
  • Battery - The heath of your camera. Make sure to recharge it!
  • Zoom - Improve your score on zooming into the tornado.
  • Storage - The capacity on photo takes. Can be increased by purchasing the camera capacity.
  • Focus - Increase contact if in the same position. Could also increase your score.
  • Night Vision - Useful if photographing the tornado in the dark.
Vehicle

This is your main transportation. Vehicles could be customized whatever you like as you rank up. Very useful to travel long distances. This includes..

  • Radio - Play radio station. Could also import custom stations.

  • Laptop - Get to that on the next section.

  • Trunk - Keep up to 3 probes.

  • Walki Talki - Your notification to remind you where the storm and the tornado touch down.
Laptop

    The Laptop is one of your important device and helps you in various ways.
  • Map - A radar to track wheres the storm going to occur.

  • Inventory - Upload photos and data for money and recharge your camera

  • Shop - Buy upgrades to improve your experience and convert your scores into money.
Storms
The main icon of Storm Chasers.. the tornado! The tornado is formed by chance a few minutes after a storm appear and seperated by categories from EF 0 to 5.


  • The Ef0 is the weakest but don't underestimate it!

  • The Ef1 is your average tornado.

  • The Ef2 is like a EF1 but a bit larger.

  • The Ef3 is around the middle but more powerful then the previous but slower.

  • The Ef4 is the second to largest tornado and have a scarce chance to spawn.

  • The Ef5 is the largest and far more powerful but it has a snail speed and are even more rare to encounter.

How to Add Custom Radio and EAS Warning?
Check out 2hoyboys's guide for more details.

For EAS Warning


1. Go on Steam, Right click on "Storm Chasers" and "Browse Local Files"

2. Navigate on "Storm Chasers\Mods\Audio"

3. Read the Notes.

4. Rename the audio file of your choice to match the Game's EAS Warning. (Make Sure its .wav)

5. Done!

For Radio

1. Add music to the folder of your choice, Its set to "Music" by default.

2. Make sure the audio is .ogg, .mp3. or .wav (.m4a Also Works!)

3. Now Validate the music file in "Storm Chasers".

4. Done!

SideSwipe. Anyone can take you're post down very easily. all you do is report. if the report goes to a lackluster mod they can pretty easily take it down. I doubt the company or the creator of this guide took it down.

ShakeNbake accidentally brings up a good question in his last sentence. Now...Obviously the correct past tense of "shooting" isn't going to be "shotted."

What WOULD be the correct use of the word? Shot?
For instance: "All my conversations are screen shot." (This feels close to correct)
Or... Would it be better to say "All my conversations HAVE been screen shot."?

I'd appreciate it if the developers could get back to me on these grammatical issues, so we can all be on the same page here. :steamthumbsup:
