"The Pontifical Swiss Guard is a minor armed forces and honour guards unit maintained by the Holy See that protects the Pope and the Apostolic Palace, serving as the de facto military of Vatican City."




I was playing a heavily modded game of CK2 as the Papacy and decided that i should give the Pope some Swiss Guards


Historically Inaccurate Swiss Guard is a small mod that adds one vassalized mercenary band under the Papacy

They spawn alongside the Papal Guards

Swiss Guard wasn't a thing until 1506.
