UNSC Firebase Unit [Building Site][Retractable Platform] (Vanilla)

The UNSC Firebase is a prefabricated base of operations used by the UNSC Marine Corps in combat zones or locations that are otherwise hostile.

The UNSC developed modular firebases due to lessons learned in the early days of the Human-Covenant War, in which large UNSC military installations proved vulnerable to orbital bombardment. The Firebase combines the needs of a tactical communications, a command center and expansion into both a barracks and a production facility capable of assembling combat vehicles. The Firebase unit itself is a variant of the old colony starter units constructed out of polycrete and powered by a small hydrogen reactor. Because gaining a foothold quickly was key to fighting insurrections throughout the colonies, ships can directly deploy the entire assembly unit of a Firebase via large dropships such as the D20 Heron or D81-LRT Condor, making it immediately useful. This ability proved invaluable in the ongoing war with the Covenant and was often considered a key advantage of the UNSC on the ground.


A Building Site is a modular component of UNSC Firebases to construct UNSC buildings.

[00]: Find a suitable place to deploy the Firebase Building Site (recommended on a flat surface). Once you paste the Building Site, use the voxel hand to clear any voxels inside the lift. Once all voxels are cleared, go to each lift segment and “convert to ship” if necessary.

[01]: Spawn a compatible UNSC Firebase Structure that you wish to place on the building site. Proceed to highlight the green frame surrounding the building. (Refer to Image Tutorial for reference.)

[02]: Remove the highlighted area to separate the building from the base plate. Remove additional blocks at the base level for the next step.

[03]: Add half blocks to the corner of the base plate, then proceed to add blast doors for the perimeter of the structure. This will allow clearance for the platform.

[04]: Once the modular structure is edited, paste the building on the top of the lift (Note: Make sure the structure is aligned to fit in the building site.

[05]: Retract the structure inside the building site and adjust the piston max limit setting until the baseplate of the firebase structure is aligned to the building site frame.

[Firebase Placement]: Should you desire to place multiple building sites in a UNSC Firebase, be sure to edit the settings of each site. The Base structure will have “- -“ in several components and groups; replace them with numbers unique to each building site to allow each building site to operate independently from one another.

For example: change the group name “Building Site [Platform: --]” to “Building Site [Platform: 01]”

(BE SURE TO RENAME ALL COMPONENTS HAVING “- -“. Editing timer block groups may be necessary)
