Still more questions, tho. Obstructions are red. But does the orange/ yellow also have an impact?
Normal Rooms: Up to 400 interior tiles
Large Rooms: 401 - 600 interior tiles
Huge Rooms: 601+ interior tiles
Each tile is 0.5m on a side (0.25m² area), so the limit for a Normal room is 100m² of interior space , and for a Large room, it’s 150m².
The problem is that the dimensions the game shows when you're building aren't measuring from inner wall to inner wall... but they also aren't measuring from outer wall to outer wall. They're measuring (for some reason) from outer wall on one side to the inner wall on the opposite side. So if you're building a room and the game is saying "8m" for one of the sides, the actual interior dimension is 7.5m.
So if you're shooting for maximum room area, Normal Room would be a 10.5×10.5m square, according to the game's "blueprint." A Large Room would be 15.5×10.5m "per blueprint."
