Once the website loads, click open file.

This will allow you to choose which image you want to crop into an avatar.

In the upper right corner of the website you will see various cropping settings. They're pretty self explanatory, so you should select the settings that are right for you.

Simply drag the cropping window and resize it until you have the area you wish to use as an avatar selected.

While selecting which part of the image you wish to crop for an avatar, you can see a real time example of what your avatar will look like at various sizes in the right corner of the website.

Once you're happy with your crop, click the green render and save button to the right. It will give you an option to save your avatar as either a square or a circle. Select the one you want and click the save button. Your newly cropped avatar will be saved to your computer!
