(2 - 8) Infantry Islands

描述



May 4, 1943. American forces discovered the secret location of a Axis base near the coast. The 106th infantry division set out to capture this location. Use the islands to push forward to the Axis base and reclaim the mainland. Creators note - This map was originally designed to be infantry only but the pacing was too slow during testing, however it will work with the Infantry Assault mod on Steam. Custom pop cap of 200. Map created and designed by Zeddie.





This is my first COH2 map on the Steam workshop! Please be sure to rate and let me know if any bugs/crashes occur. During testing I played for over 2 hours without crashing. It took me well over 2 weeks to finish with 24 hours of video.

  • Hand built aircraft carrier.
  • Destroyable bridges

  • Day/Night cycle (3rd night has a thunderstorm)





  • AI clusters around the wooden bridges preventing infantry units from retreating. (Have attempted to fix but bridges impass prevents having 2 bridges side by side)

If anything a double bridge would work as well. Have 2 of the bridges close enough together to make them usable but so it wouldn't hinder any kind of bunkering attempts.

If not, you can always just raise the terrain and make a land bridge. I don't think that would hurt the maps aesthetics

Thanks! I'm glad you love it! I had that same issue when I was testing the map. The only solution I can think is to put another foot bridge but there's no telling if it'll work. I can try and see if I can find some scar coding for AI to avoid those bridges when retreating.

Hey man, love the cool map, great for a bot-stomp, a suggestion if I may, there is a wooden infantry bridge on the carrier side by the fuel, it gets the bots stuck (quite similarly to the bridge on Die Shelde) retreating causes quite a fuster cluck. Your thoughts?
