描述
This mod will prevent Duplicants from dropping resources they carry when they on ladder (for example when they want to catch their breath which do interrupt current task and cause drop of all carried resources), instead they will hold those till better place to drop.

This will make life much easer and eliminate endless situation when they dropped item and it fell too far down and then they tries to go there to get it and on a way back drop it again as catching breath.

To activate: subscribe to mod, then activate it in "Mods" list, from game starting screen. Restart will require.

Features:

  • If Duplicant current task was interrupted because of recovering breath or they having narcoleptic sleep or new task happen due to schedule block changed, they won't drop carried items
  • If Duplicant have items at hold, they will drop those as soon as they havecell with solid floor nearby on their way
  • Duplicant will not drop items on hold, if next chore (task) to execute can use those
  • Carried items will be used in next task (if it use same type of items) instead of fetching those from the world

Options:
  • Mark dropped items to be sweeped, set custom priority for sweep or last used in game
  • Turn on Debug - will show addition tooltip info and pause on item dropped

  • Make sure you activated mod in Mods list in-game and restarted the game.
  • Make sure you use the last version of mod, to do so: use my other mod Mod Manager and use Update button in mods list to force update mod via Mod Manager, which will require a game restart (Steam can often give you outdated version, my mod made to solve this).
    You can check current actual version number in changelog here:

    And you can check which version of the mod you exactly have by checking .dll version inside the mod folder: \mods\Steam\1868454866\
  • If you have game crash and have other mods, disable those mods, restart the game (or it won't take any effect) and try again.

My Boop was stocking up on some oil, while holding onto the ladder. No Drop meant he was holding 2 bits of gear balm at once which triggered a Nul reference error.

What appears to have happened is. Boop starts to climb. Picks up new gear balm. Needs to breath so thanks to the super useful mod dosnt drop balm it just picked up. Then picks up and tries to use a new balm which bricks the save.

这个模组可以防止复制人在梯子上因喘息（或其他打断当前任务的动作）而掉落携带的资源，他们会一直持有物品直至找到合适的放置地点。

这将大幅改善游戏体验，避免以下无限循环问题：物品掉落→掉得太深→复制人下去捡→返回途中又因喘息再次掉落→循环往复。

A small update to my last comment, i have 2/3 of a solution, Micronutrient fertilizer is not selectable in dispensers...

Hi, this mod is very useful and to me is one of the "must have" mods.
This may not be in the scope of this mod but i think it would be nice to set some items to Exclude from the "mark for sweep" option
I notice if they drop one of three items(one of which was added by a mod) these items get the sweep command but they never get swept since i don't have anywhere for dupes to store Micronutrient Fertilizer or Microchips(Or "custom parts" added by the "mechanics station" mod)
Because these items are made as-needed, that is the dupes wont make microchips unless there is a generator that needs it, same for the fertilizer, so i keep cancelling the sweep on these specific items and they just pick them up and use them as normal.
but i'm thinking as i type this i'm just going to make an auto-dispenser on sweep only just for these items. so even if you don't add that feature i have already got a solution, it's just not a good one imo

Maybe this is a task for a completely separate mod, but would it be possible to add an option to prevent dupes from dropping a bagged critter anywhere other than its final destination?

In my current setup, I have excess pips set up to automatically be wrangled and carried to the "bath" (drowning chamber), but my dupes keep getting distracted and dropping them somewhere in between, so I wind up manually killing a lot of them.
