The CNL Orbital Defense Platform Mk.I is here to defend your colonies from outsiders!

The brand new The CNL Orbital Defense Platform Mk.I used as inspiration to the Watchtower and the orbital cannon used in Colony Wars! This station has been in the workshop and even though it is supposed to engage in combat, it is only for defense and therefore it it lightly armoured. But this is also to let it stay in orbit easier. CNL recommends keeping it in 0.2 planet gravity, however the emergency hydrogen system can rescue you until you pass 0.5 planet gravity.

There are batteries in place near the bridge incase main power fails, which again will give you enough power to use the Hydrogen emergency system. The Platform does not feature parachutes since it would need a considerable amount in order to work properly, however the bridge is placed as high up as possible in order to keep you alive as long as possible. Finally the main weapon for the platform is of course a rotorgun, for maximum damage.
