You can just melee any statue you find once and it'll count for the mission. don't need to destroy them fully.

I posted about the Brother 1/Undeground load farm on Reddit. Another user mentioned that there are also two more statues that can be found in the lobby if you want less loading and are comfortable just running through the enemies.

I'm using the Brother 1 Underground and Little Berlin Hospital area, where the Statue is right next to the Underground hole, so takes like 10-20 seconds to get 1 statue. Also as I'm going for a short while into the Underground the loading is faster to get there. Also no enemies, basically it's just climbing the ladder shoot the statue once, drop down open the underground gate, load, open it from the other side to get back load and back to climbing the ladder, rince and repeat.

Yes. But there you don't need to fight at all most of times, and can run there way faster.
