描述
The map is technically complete, but due to the editor limitations and my lacking skills it's not exactly a well designed or balanced level

Deep Down is a single adventure mega-map designed with both singleplayer and coop in mind.

Features:
  • Big open map with various distinctive and interconnected zones, look out for secret areas and shortcuts
  • Bonfire system. Find bonfires around the map to set them as your respawn point and use them for healing. Each bonfire has only one main healing charge, so use them wisely
  • Leveling through exploration: Find hidden stat potions to strengthen up your character
  • Multiple bosses scattered around the map. Fight them to access new passages and obtain keys
  • End goal. While the entire idea behind the map is to provide players with open map full of exploration, the latest update added a "final boss" and moved the exit point accordingly. You have to go deep down.

Since people have been asking me how to launch the map from time to time, here goes:
Select your class and background and press F9 (before entering the cave) to open a map selection menu.


P.S.
The map doesn't really work online (possibly because it's too big?) and can crash the game. If you want to play it on co-op, you have to do it locally or via Remote Play Together.

Yeah, you're 100% correct, the idea behind this map definitely didn't work out within Vagante and the editor's limits.

Still, I made it because I wanted to play around with an interconnected level design a bit, and since people seem to continue downloading it, I don't want to suddenly remove the map from the workshop.

this map was fun. but feels like it was made for a different game with infinite revives and level ups becoming useless. doesnt match the vagante feel that i was looking for.

I'd suggest maybe make a map with a "hub" area in the middle and from there you can go to whatever "zone" you want (the zone would be instances to reduce issues). And maybe add some respawn and some random stuff in some zones. It would feel like a bit more open rpg experience :D

you can split up a map to make it run on online multiplayer but i'm fairly sure the point of this map is that its one huge area, crosses don't work anywhere even in intermissions

Or you can make it a bit more instanced? No need to make it FULL open world if it doesn't work

what if you can make the bosses instanced? take it like how darksouls did, put a loadingscreen between each boss

the game has been getting very minor updates, I only know because one prevented my friend from playing the game on his mac for like a year
