If there's no settings in your graphic card software you would just have to ignore that step, but since this is a laptop guide most laptop cards come with software that allows high performance mode.
About the guide please add some info about Page file, it will slowdown the game on HDD, it works best on SSD if you do not care about its lifespan, If you got enough RAM like me 32GB you don't need pagefile/virtual memory! "Ram is faster than virtual memory remember that!"
