This guide will be all about how Guards and Thieves can be balanced, atleast from my perspective. Keep in mind all of this is opinion-based and is not confirmed to be in the game, but most of us want it in.

Scout
The scout, as of now, is a very popular class, and a reference to TF2's scout class. He carries a NP5 with awful damage but high bullet output. He also holds the Zlock 18 that does an awful 18 damage with a painfully slow shot time.


The NP5 is, actually pretty balanced for what scout is supposed to be. Because of it's high rate of fire it can dispatch enemies at a fair time, on the move. His Zlock, however, is very, very weak. Even though it's a horrible weapon, it can finish the job against low enemies, and can open vents with ease. This is why the Zlock should stay the same.

Scout's Gadgets
Flare


The flare last for 15 seconds and has 3 charges. Scout is the only carrier of this gadget, which is one reason he is a very popular pick. The gadget if very balanced if not a bit overpowered, as it can show a whole area- a chokepoint, point of entry, small rooms- for a whole 15 seconds! This can end rounds in your favor, as anybody in the flare radius will most likely be shot dead.

Fluorescent glue

The glue is actually pretty weak. He holds 3 charges, and slows the enemy and teammates down in the area. The glue has a PAINFULLY small radius, and doesn't really threat anybody. There are better options like the barbed wire or incendiary.

Baton

Nothing to say about this. It's useless yet you're never going to get close to your opponent anyway. It only deals 36 damage, just about the weakest melee. Only useable for opening vents or windows without giving away your position too much.

Other Things To Change

Scout's max speed must be increased from 4.5 to 5.8. He is actually fairly slow when it comes to combat with his primary out, so his speed and ability to move himself around his opponents quickly with ease is just... not there. His hp should be nerfed to 71, as so many times I feel I can tank shots easily.

Assault
To be honest, I think the assault is a horrible class. His weapon fires very slow, but has a whopping 38 damage. He's got 90 health and walks at a speed of 4.5. His weapons are overall balanced, and so is his gadget...

Hand Grenade

Man, this weapon can deal up to 140 damage! What was that? You threw it into a chokepoint and expected to kill every thief? Too bad man, you killed 2 allies who now go assault to show you how it feel to be blown up by a teammate.

what I'm saying is turn off team damage with all gadgets it's really annoying when people throw rocks at me

Other Changes

He's actually fairly balanced and popular. I myself hate him, but he's a nuisance to play against if your opponent is skilled.
Guardian
Guardian is a really, really weak character. His shield half the time doesn't work and bullets clip through/melee attacks. The thing is, Guardian needs tear gas (unreleased but in the wiki), smoke grenades (already has those,) and to make it that guardian pulls out his pistol with his shield up, making the bullets innaccuretaly fly in all directions, but the flashlight does work. His shield size needs to be increased/fix this bug that makes bullets fly into him when he's facing them. Other then that, he's a balanced character.
Carrier
Basically Assault but much better. He should have 2 barbed wire and each lasts 8 seconds. Because barbed wire damages and slows you, I don't think this thing should stay around for as long as it does, or should he be able to spam it. His weapon's firerate should be nerfed, and his gun's bloom should be lowered, so he's more unique rather then just an upgrade.
Pyro
Pyro is really unbalanced. Like in TF2, all players have to do is just W M1 and you can easily rack up 5k + points.

Flamethrower

Pyro needs to walk 1.5 movement speed slower then he normally does with his flame thrower. This way, most classes can outrun him. Damage should be lowered to 10, but he deals an afterburn of 5 DPS for 5 seconds, so if his enemies run away or he dies when his enemy is low, they can be burned to death.

Explosive Pistol

His explosive pistol is actually a great weapon and in my opinion is very balanced. That's not a joke by the way, it actually is, if you can aim. The weapon should also deal afterburn of 3 DPS for 8 seconds, though.

Gadgets

His Incendary is ok, I guess

Other Things

He needs to be immune to fire damage, and afterburn. This way, he cannot hurt himself with his own fire and cannot be burned by the sab. Right now he's very op and broken.
Medic [G]
Overall, balanced.

Syringe gun

Syringe gun needs to heal 20 instead of it's 16

Bonesaw

Bonesaw needs a buff to 50 damage.

Syringe

Syringe needs a slower attack speed. I think that's it haven't checked medic's stats in awhile.
Shadow
Crossbow

I feel the crossbow needs 1 bolt, that deals 70 damage so he can switch to his pistol and finish them off. The crossbow is a projectile that should hit it's target almost instantly after clicking, to prevent having to aim infront of them. The gun reload should take a whole 4.5 seconds, BUT reloads even if the weapon is not currently equipped. If it's not equipped, it takes 5 seconds to reload.

Secondary

Shadow needs a new, better secondary. Right now it's a horrible and messy weapon. The weapon should be a suppressed deagle, that deals 20 damage a shot, 7 rounds, and shoots as fast as you pull the trigger, BUT, the quicker you fire the less accurate it gets. The first shot is always on point, and does not reload on it's own. Reload time is 1.5 seconds.

Gadgets

I feel his gadgets are balanced, and so is everything else in general. His weapons were just extremely weird, especially how his crossbow and pistol worked. Caltrops should slow not his allies, but him and enemies. Caltrops should deal 10 DPS.
Cobra
Knife

His knife should deal 100 damage on BACKSTAB, but if hitting their face, it should deal 30 damage. Attack speed should be reduced by 50 percent. This way, he can still camp but it requires you to now be looking at him, and he can not instantly kill you when you're looking at him. His speed should be increased to a maximum of 6.5, making him fast, but not too fast. Health should be 70 instead.

Sidearm

Though more then one class uses this, it needs to fire as fast as you can click it, but, like the deagle, it goes more off target the more you spam it. First shot (per reload/after 2 seconds for both weapons) is always pinpoint.

Gadgets

Remove his glue bomb. He doesn't need to slow them down, as he's faster then most classes. Instead, give him 3 charges of smoke bombs.
Saboteur
Sab is very, very weak. His weapon merly tickles the enemy, even with it's high fire rate. His weapon needs to just be replaced with scout's original gun stats, just suppressed. His pistol deals more damage then his NP5. 10/10 Primary right there. Totally.

Gadgets

His molotov is actually pretty balanced. It just needs 30 dps instead of 20. This way, it is actually a viable weapon.
Juggernaut
To be honest, nothing to change. He's fairly balanced, and does what he's supposed to. Suppress the enemy, and blow them sky high.

and his primary needs to deal less damage

Imagine being a no skill bastard who likes guns that can shotgun people from 50 feet away and not switch to their sidearm

OKOK all jokes aside, he needs a BLACK SHIRT SO I CAN'T SEE LIGHT SHINING OFF HIS CHEST SO I KNOW WHERE HE IS IT'S ACTUALLY A PROBLEM AND IT'S ANNOYING ESPECIALLY FOR THE MERC PLAYER

and he also needs smoke bombs, because he needs to get up close to be useful. So, he needs smoke bombs. 3.
Other random stuff
All fire damage does afterburn. Molotoves deal 5 DPS for 5 seconds.

Lighting needs to be fixed so you can't see enemies in darkened rooms and so it's easier to see enemies in lighted rooms (believe it or not most maps have dark spots in lite rooms, making it frustrating)

Make maps smaller, it's really annoying having to check corners in a hallway.

Footsteps should make noise. Just saying.

BTW I didn't forget medic for Thieves, I just think she's balanced.

Nevermind like this isn't a joke remove rocks they just give away people's positions and 6 damage like seriously it says 60 damage on the menu screen like fix this m8
