Yes. When you quit in VR on steam, your game picks up again @ the last checkpoint. If you die while playing and do not quit, you will be respawn at the last checkpoint. The checkpoints are not visible as you play to the best of my knowledge. Info valid based on progress into the zookeepers free for all point that I can’t get past because Trover dies before defeating all of the horde!

It auto saves at various points throughout each level. If you die you will lose some progress depending where you are. You'll re-spawn at the latest checkpoint, which some of the teleport beam things act as. When you get to a spot where a beat in the story happens, or you are about to fight some clones, those usually act as checkpoints.

So does it auto save?
