i produced my first (stationary) console at the end of 1981, with an overall profit of more then 60 mio $.
my mobile console released in 1982 was even more successfull, generating an overall profit of more then 160 mio $.
i am in 1986 now, and both consoles are taken of the market and are replaced with my 2nd generation of consoles.
my stationary console (2nd gen) has generated a profit so far of 26 after 1,5 years on the market, my mobile console (2nd gen) is still suffering a loss of 34mio$ due to the developpment costs (i think it was 45 mio), but has only been released 3 months ago.
i have to admit, i didnt manage to gain a lot market share. i think my most successfull console only had a market share of little more then 3%.
Yet, their weekly income is around the same amount my own game generate as net income after being taken off the market.
