As for a shower block guide, I agree that putting individual showers in cells is a much better idea than using shower blocks. However, if you really want to use a shower block, the best thing to do is to not assign any dedicated shower time in the regime and instead to have free time so the prisoners can go to the shower on their own free will. This prevents fights and such from happening in the shower blocks. Designing the shower blocks is not difficult. Really, all you need is one drain on the entrance(s) and if you have temperature and weather turned on, make sure you have both hot and cold water pipes on each shower. Just like canteens, it is best to have one shower block per number of prisoners or number of cell blocks. In my prison, I have exactly identical cell blocks, in groups of 4. 1 canteen for 4 cell blocks, 1 kitchen for 4 cell blocks etc. I would recommend a similar approach for showers.
Hope this helps.
