Competitive is Classic Casual with a restricted number of players (5v5), higher kill rewards (x3) and competitive makes armour and Defuse kits Optional unlike in Casual, also, the Zeus is restricted here. . Quitting counts as abandoning and will get you a matchmaking ban from competitive games with the consequences getting higher and higher per abandon.

Skill Groups predict how well players will perform when playing against other players.
Once you have sucessfully won 10 competitive games, you will be assigned a matchmaking rank. All of the ranks will be detailed in the image. (Ranking affects the people you get matched up with.)


When you play with friends who have lower/higher ranks than you, the matchmaking system takes this into consideration, also, the system makes a prediction about how well each team member will perform in a match. So losing a match with a lower skilled player on your team is not likely to significantly impact your Skill Group.

Players within Skill Groups will display their emblem to their friends at all times. At the end of the match,(after any rematches), any player within a Skill Group will display it to everyone else.
Also, competitive ranks are guaranteed to be more fun for you, as you get matched with people of equal skill level, and not just taking a risk in playing in random lobbies

1.) At the beginning of a round, hold you knife to run faster.

3.) Look at your radar constantly to check for teammates and enemy fire










4.)If you kill someone and they have a better weapon, pick it up by throwing your weapon away (G by default) and standing on the weapon, or pressing your use/defuse button on the weapon.
5.) As a Terrorist, inform your teammates (at the beginning of a round) where you're going to plant the bomb (Dust2 Examples: A long, A short, B, Mid). And try to always stick to the Bomb Carrier and try to stick together as a group, if everybody goes to one bomb site (Rushing) you have a higher chance of success than if you go on your own
6.) As a Counter Terrorist, you should almost always buy the defuse kit, those extra 5 seconds could mean a win or loss of a round,also, cover your teammates when they're defusing if an enemy is still alive
7.) Buy armour when you have an extra $1000, You can (almost) always get an extra kill with armour.
8.) When shooting, you can walk to slightly increase accuracy (SHIFT is default).
9.) Listen out for footsteps, if you hear footsteps and you have no friendlies around you, stop and look around. It may be you, or it may be an enemy trying to stab you in the back (Using walk negates footsteps as the footsteps become Silent)
10.) Switch to your pistol, pistols are easier to use than trying to reload while in combat.

1.) Don't shoot your teammates, always look at your radar before shooting someone, many people have panic reactions and instantaneously shoot anything they see, check your radar for friendly players passing you before shooting.










2.) Waste money (Except for last rounds of halves etc.), if you buy the most expensive gear, and then die, you're going to have to rely on good samaritans to donate weapons (Dropping weapons on the start of a round) to you.
3.) Crouch. Never,ever crouch, crouching makes you a sitting duck, it increases accuracy, but it's trade-off is extremely slow movement speed,enemies can also headshot you easier. Doing the stutter step (Constantly walking left-right) is worthwhile, but takes some time to master because of the small time window of accuracy that you get. Standing still is also another noteworthy example, same as crouching, but with more of you to hit.
4.) When using sniper rifles, never crouch, If you miss a shot, pulling back from failing the shot is almost impossible.
5.) Don't jump while in combat, jumping while reloading is very plausible as it makes you slightly harder to hit, (You should use your pistols anyway.), but jumping while shooting, (As said above) has the worst accuracy out of running, jumping, crouching and stutter-stepping

5.) Communicate with your team
