This walkthrough is my attempt to play the game as efficient as possible without having to walk, run, bike or sail there and back that often. Sure, you have to return to Nava several times to turn in your commissions, as you can only accept four commissions at a time. Also, various quests depend on quests to be updated in other regions. I’ve already done several playthroughs, one to learn playing the game, one to get all achievements, one to learn about the console commands, and now found it time to learn about the most efficient playthrough. This doesn’t mean I wanted to finish the game in the shortest possible time, but merely not traveling there and back so much and spend more time to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

If you have enough canvases, create paintings for yourself. These paintings will decorate your home on the mainland, once you have left Eastshade. I have no clue how many paintings can be used for decoration (in my last playthrough 16 out of 31). If you can’t craft any more canvases, you can also buy these from the Art Dealer in Nava, although more than enough boards and fabric can be found.

Collect as many items as you can find. You may need these later in the game. Surplus items can be sold to Osha, the One Glowstone Guy in Nava, near the end of the game at 1 glowstone each, although you can’t sell him all the items in your inventory. There’s no limit to the number of items you can have in your inventory.

• Walk along the lake until you meet Aysun and talk to her: A Bitter Fish
  
• Make a painting of a full eclipse at the northernmost point of the peninsula through the statue, making it look like an “eye”
  
• Go to Mudwillow’s Mirror and read the riddle (between Aysun and Ranya’s House); use two mirrors to direct the beam of light, that will appear after the eclipse, to the receiver with the trapdoor and stand on the trapdoor: Mudwillow’s Riddle
  
• You will fall down the trapdoor and meet Mudwillow; giving her the painting of the “eye” you will receive Mudwillow’s Tincture
  
• Return to Fynn at his farm the next day and he will ask you to get poison from K&K Apothecary, because repairing the fence didn’t help
  
• Overhearing Kai and Kaelen you will receive your next quest: Second Chances
  
• Kai will ask you to see Anika for a loan
  
• Return to and talk with Fynn (10 glowstones)

• Go and see Anika about Kai’s request and sell her the painting of the owl (30 glowstones)
  
• Make a painting of Anika’s or Onur's House (cobhouse; Commission #4)

• Go to Helem and use Mudwillow’s Tincture to retrieve his amulet; drink a zip of water after you have picked up the amulet
  
• Bring the amulet to Helem and you will receive the password for the Roots club
  
• Go to the Southlands Hotspring to fill an empty vessel

• Go see Kai at the apothecary and tell him what people think of his potion
  
• Accept his request to have the potion tested by Zahra at the University
  
• Go out fishing in the river catch at least 10 fish (Achievement #18)

• A little further to the north, make a painting of a windmill (Commision #9)
  
• Make another painting anywhere on the Tiffmoor Bluffs, one of mother’s last wishes
  
• Follow the western coastline until you see a zip trolly line and use it to get to Westspring Bluff
  
• Fill an empty vessel at the Tiffmoor Hotspring
  
• Use the other zip trolley line to get back to the Tiffmoor Bluffs
  
• Walk northeast up to Vilmar’s Arch and pass the arch from north to south
  
• Take the first path left to Tiffmoor Gorge and use the zip trolley to reach a lengthy cave
  
• In the largest area of the cave, fill the last empty vessel with water from the Cave Hotspring
  
• Make a painting of the “starry cavern” (Commission #11)
  
• Walk towards the end of the cave to find the “locked box”
  
• Leave the cave using the stairs

• Return to Toma to hear that he has taken care of the children who took his apples
  
• Talk to the little girl: Sheltered from the Wind
  
• Go to the West Tower
  
• Go to the beach south of the West Tower, Sandysnouth Beach
  
• Take the reed boat to sail north; just past the Tiffmoor Ruins you will find a small bay, Hidden Cove
  
• Navigate carefully through the rocks towards the beach
  
• Talk to Tamik and he will teach you how to make a rope
  
• Sail back to Sandysnouth Beach and follow the coastline to the north
  
• Attach a rope at the top of the wooden bridge
  
• Tell Tamik about his children being taken care of by Toma (Achievement #17)
  
• Return to Sandysnouth Beach and take the reed boot to sail north

• Follow the coastline to the north and later the east, and visit Blackpaw Beach (Achievement #15)
  
• Follow the coastline further east until you pass a shipwreck
  
• Somewhere to your left (north) you may see a campsite
  
• Talk to Liliane, commander of the expedition: Dormant in the Ice
  
• Talk to other expedition members until you can get inside the cave
  
• Solve the problems several members are experiencing
  
• Make a painting of the cave, once those problems have been solved (Commission #12)
  
• You can sail further east to pass through an icy cave to sail to Quickhoof Coast and return to Nava

• Turn in your last commissions: Commission #9 (25 glowstones), Commission #10 (35 glowstones), Commission #11 (30 glowstones) and Commission #12 (50 glowstones)
  
• Bring the vessels with the water of the hotsprings to Zahra
  
• Talk to the guard in the center of the 3rd floor to get access to the top: The Top of Nava
  
• Return to Zahra for the results of the tests and ask for a university pass
  
• Go top the Top of Nava and make a painting from the view, one of mother’s last wishes
  
• Accept the paintings for your mother’s last wishes, if you haven’t already done so (you can also do this in Lyndow)
  
• You will be approached by an agent of North Seas Shipping and receive a free pass to board any ship back to the mainland: Leaving Eastshade
  
• Go to the Roots club either to administer the antidote (you will have to return to Samiya, 30 glowstones) or tell the Roots leader all about Samiya’s scheme (you will receive the book Ancient Teas)
  
• Go see Osha, the One Glowstone Guy, to sell all your surplus goods and if you have enough glowstones buy sealant for 500 glowstones (Achievement #4)
  
• Optional: Buy canvases from the Art Dealer if you want make paintings for your mainland home
  
• You can stay in Nava for a couple of days to hear the Teahouse Stories in the Tarnished Teahouse (in the evening at 7pm)

• Go to Viktar and give him the locked box
  
• Bring the locked box to the innkeeper of Kestrel’s Aerie

• Be sure to have visited the East Tower, but you don’t have to use the zip trolley
  
• Sail with a reed boat around the south side of Eastshade to Lyndow (visit the shipwreck, the other ruined part of Old Lyndow on the beach and Greywing Cove); the best place to get ashore is the beach near Ingov’s cave

• Go to the Abandoned Tower by night when the lights in the tower are on
  
• Try to open the door, Ingov will show up behind you and will leave the door open
  
• Go to the top of the tower and meet Azad, the Architect of Lyndow
  
• Talk to him about the book in the Lyndow Inn
  
• Meet Azad the following morning in the Town Hall
  
• Make a painting for him of the Lyndow Inn, the Gazebo and the Town Hall (40 glowstones)
  
• Go see the agent at the end of the docks near the ship to return to the mainland (Achievement #10)
  
• Any paintings that you have in your inventory will be displayed in your house on the mainland
  
• Read the various letters from your friends on Eastshade (the screen seems to turn black for a few times but lasts only for some 5 to 10 seconds)
  
• Open the door in your home to finish the game
