Guide has been update to accommodate the Dollhouse update.

Inspired one day to make a guide to endless, and ruminating on how to make it, I've finally got around to making one. However instead of a basic guide detailing the specimens, I thought I'd get visual with it.

After numerous attempts, so I feel that I have a fairly decent grasp on the various specimens and their behavior, and thus organized them into tiers.

Keep in mind, the threat scores are largely subjective, and individual mileage may vary.

BEWARE, THERE BE SPOILERS AHEAD, IF YOU ARE READING THIS GUIDE, THERE IS THE EXPECTATION YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE BASE GAME, KALAMARI HOSPITAL, DOLLHOUSE, AND ATTEMPTED ENDLESS AT LEAST ONCE.

Endless mode throws the player into a special mode that as the name implies, never ends. Specimens are encountered regularly, with a new specimen added to a pool every 100 rooms. The room they spawn in is randomly decided, and once the specimen is in play, they can reoccur randomly to chase the Player, provided they do reoccur. When chases begin, a random specimen is selected from this pool. Specimen 1, provided Jumpscares are enabled, and 2 are in the pool by default.

Up to 5 specimens can be encountered at once, including multiple versions of the same specimen. This coincidentally, grants the Seeing Double Achievement. This is more common in the first 500 rooms, where the pool is small enough for the chances to be in the players favor. Specimen 1 does not count for this achievement.

When the game starts, the player has a choice between an Axe, and the Sword. Which you choose makes no difference.

This guide does not take into account any mechanics in Katamari hospital, the Dollhouse, or the base game, it only focuses on the specimens mechanics present in Endless, so don't ask about specimens and minor enemies that can't be encountered in Endless.

Specimens have a Hazard Rating, and a Tier number, indicated by the Bar and Stars respectively. It should be noted that Tier and Hazard rating don't always correlate.

S - Lethal Threat
A - Major Threat
B - Moderate Threat
C - Mild Threat
D - Minor Threat
E - Insignificant Threat
O - Non Standard Threat
