Away has a total of 1 Steam achievement which is unmissable, completion time is around 2 minutes.

Away is a simplistic and very short visual novel style game, when the text "Go to the light" appears on screen simply click on the text with your left mouse button (LMB) to continue. All in all, 5 clicks of the LMB are required to complete the game, there are no choices and no settings to alter.

On a final note, at the time of writing, Steam is still "learning about this game" so achievements will not yet count towards profile totals, I'm somewhat unsure of the "learning" process, but given the positive reviews, it should only be a matter of time before the achievements count towards your profile totals.

Hi any help? i only see a Black Display und sounds like noise. no Light no text. change resolution is also the same. thanks

It's sad that I have to say it, but, good luck :surprised_yeti:

I seriously hope you do get it running as I'm sadly out of idea's and I know just how infuriating it is to be unable to complete a game due to a bug, and the Dev having no interest in resolving.

If you are on a PC, the only other thing I can really advise is to change the resolution in Windows to 1280x720 or 3840 x 2160.

... I'm not sure how I missed it first time, one of the posts states that they got the game to work when running as admin. In your Steam library, right click on the game name on the list to the left, select "Properties" > "Local Files" > "Browse". The install folder will open with all the games files in, locate the .EXE for the game, right click and select "Run as administrator".

I'm sceptical if this will work as there does not seem to be anyone else confirming in the thread that it fixed the issue and if it is a problem caused by differing resolutions, I fail to see how this would fix it... then again I've seen weirder fixes.

I have tried windowed and then I also did try turning the resolution down also. (Can't recall which I chose, but it was lower, and also didn't make any difference...)

I also un-installed and tried again, to no avail.

I did check the forum and found out as well I am not alone. I will try the alt/enter method to see if that works. Thank you.

Honestly not sure of the resolution on this as I am not using a monitor but the Roku tv my oldest had left behind when he moved back home. I have no idea what it is set at, but most likely it is on the factory settings for tv and movies etc.

I wasn't aware of any issues, but looking at the discussion forum, I see you are not alone. Try running the game windowed. Hold "Alt" and tap "Enter". Out of curiosity, what resolution is your monitor ?

I literally have no ending to mine. After the last *go to the light* it just sits there. He never says anything about his path being over...I didn't see that you did anything different than you, so I wondered if you have heard of anyone also experiencing this? (Also it is extremely laggy. I've even tried turning down the resolution.)
