Introduction
To use mods, you need Unity Mod Manager[www.nexusmods.com]. After you have installed it, you can add mods.

Note: This is an unofficial support for mods and the game developer is not responsible for the mods. Also, do not send bug reports to the game developers if you have installed any mods, since mods can cause errors.
How to Install Unity Mod Manager
  1. Download Unity Mod Manager[www.nexusmods.com]
  2. Extract the archive (e.g. to desktop) and run UnityModManager.exe (recommended to run as administrator)
  3. If the program does not open, try to install Net Framework 4, otherwise go to next
  4. Select Derail Valley from the list. If game folder is not automatically detected, select it yourself (e.g. \Steam\steamapps\common\Derail Valley)
  5. Select DoorstopProxy installation method
  6. Click on the Install button
How to Install Mods
Automatic:
  1. Download a mod from Nexus Mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/derailvalley
  2. Run UnityModManager.exe (recommended to run as administrator)
  3. Click tab Mods from the top
  4. Click Install Mod
  5. Select the downloaded mod

Manual:
  1. Download a mod from Nexus Mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/derailvalley
  2. Extract the archive and put the mod folder into Mods folder of the Game (\Steam\steamapps\common\Derail Valley\Mods).
How to Uninstall Mods
Automatic:
  1. Run UnityModManager.exe (recommended to run as administrator)
  2. Click tab Mods from the top
  3. Right click on the mod you wish to uninstall
  4. Click Uninstall

Manual:
  1. Open Mods folder of the Game (\Steam\steamapps\common\Derail Valley\Mods)
  2. Delete folder of the Mod you wish to uninstall
How to Uninstall Unity Mod Manager
  1. Run UnityModManager.exe (recommended to run as administrator)
  2. Click Uninstall

and what do i do if there is no mods folder

For some reson Derail Valley isnt showing up in the steamapps/common

Good guide, easy to follow. Mod for improving wagon connections was easily installed and looks much better.
