Three things.
1. It had been a while since I checked into the course. Over time, game patches do funny things to the workshop maps and I fixed a few places on the course where rocks became out of place. Thanks for the reminder.
2. If you want a "real golf experience," There are plenty of games out there that aren't a miniature golf simulator. Riverview GC is both not a normal GWYF map and also one that is challenging in ways many GWYF maps are not.
3. Read the description above, as the issues you describe appear to stem from your use of the random start game option. To reiterate:
***This course requires the Default Starting Position***

I hope you enjoy golfing with your friends. Laugh and have fun. Its better than the alternative.
