Nonetheless, it is sometimes difficult to pick the best moai spots, especially when not choosing the easiest map (archipelago or small continents).
Thus I feel a bit dumb going for diplomatic (as most cities are costal, plus some policies = $$$) or science victory as the civ is cultural driven with the moais, yet it's fun to be able to go to deep water from the start and then secure the best spots overseas.
By the way, I have a few games going which is why I've commented on like 5 different guides in the past week. Their really helpful, haha.
As Polynesia, your UA makes it easy to settle plenty of land before anyone else can reach it though, so you don't need to go to war to grab land.
