This is for game version 1.35. Most of this walkthough should also work on the older versions. I wrote this walkthrough because I could not find a written game walkthrough anywhere for this game. Several video walkthroughs can be found on Youtube, but they do not contain the game’s secrets, and are often impossible to see how to access certain game codes with no explanation or commentary. Also, the video walkthroughs tend to be too spoilery when all you want is a code. This walkthrough should easily get you past whatever you are stuck on.
Game Plot
You are playing as Investigative Journalist, Robert Hawk. Robert has spent the last few years working with his Detective friend, Patrick Clark, to try to find a vigilante killer named Illusion. Illusion kidnaps and kills people who seem to be guilty of crimes, but never paid for them as the justice system failed.

Robert and his wife Sara went out to celebrate his birthday, but they had a car accident. Robert wakes up in a room, poisoned and chained to a pipe. You, playing as Robert, must free yourself and find out what happened to your wife, and your friend Patrick, and try to find out who Illusion really is before you all die.
Game Modes
There are two game modes in this version, Normal/Easy and Torture of The Mind/Hard. For this walkthrough, I am using Normal/Easy. You get the full in game hint system for it. If you are an experienced gamer and like the challenge of no hints, try the Hard mode.
Installation on Windows 10 and Known Issues
Windows 10, depending on the version, can be a bit buggy with some games. If you are having trouble getting the game to run, you can make a new shortcut to the game. You do not have to have Steam running to do this or to play. But you should have initially installed it through Steam. This workaround will work even if you don’t have Steam. Find the game’s .exe file, it is called PWM.exe, it’s found in this area: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PLAY WITH ME\pwm.exe Right click the file, choose create shortcut. Drag the new shortcut to your desktop. Right click the new shortcut and choose the Compatibility tab. Choose to run it in Windows 7, and check off to run it as an Administrator. Click Apply. Double click the shortcut to play the game. Windows 10 may not save your choice for Windows 7 on the shortcut, so just check it each time before playing if you have trouble with it.

Another known issue is that Windows 10 makes the Save Game folder read only. This causes the game’s phone messages to get stuck, and because they trigger important game events, you might not be able to progress without clearing the read only mode. This usually happens if you immediately start a new game after you’ve just finished one. Sometimes it happens if you go back to rooms you have already been in. The workaround is to find the Save Game folder, right click it, uncheck read only, and check off to make it for all files and subfolders. Click apply or okay. Then start your new game. It should have cleared the phone messages. You can find the Save Game folder here:

Game Features, Inventory, Using Items
The game codes and item locations are randomized per game. That means no one can really give you an exact code for opening doors or accessing computers. But I can tell you how to figure them out. The game has a good hint system with a Helping Hand Feature to show you which numbers go first, but sometimes that isn’t enough. Numbers may be reversed or upside down. So even if you have the right numbers, you will need to try every possible combination to get the right one. Sometimes, it still seems to not work, so if you really get that stuck, reset the level till you get new numbers and try again. A six might be a nine. A one might be a seven. A five might be a two. Just keep trying.

How to always figure out which numbers go first: The first number will not have a plus sign in front of it. The middle number will always have a plus in front and in back of it. The last number will have a plus in front of it. If there is a fourth number, you will have to try different combinations, it might be the second or the third or whatever. If one part of the code is a word, try the word first and then the number, do the opposite if that doesn’t work, like wolf9912 or 9912wolf.

Finding items, remember to look all over the room with both the UV light and a match or flashlight. I have seen players not look far enough to the left or right or close enough on the floor and get stuck missing items. This is not a game to rush through. You can miss stuff if you don’t slow down and really look around.

Using items in game and in inventory is easy. You can press the letter i on your keyboard to load inventory. To combine inventory items, drag the item on top of the other item, hold it over it till it combines. Using items in game is also simple. To cut something, drag the knife over it and hold down the left mouse button while dragging it back and fourth fast till it cuts it down. To turn off valves, hold the left mouse button and turn counter clockwise several times till you can’t turn it anymore. Light matches and candles in a realistic way. Strike the match, hold the lit match to the candles to light them. You can turn the flashlight/torch on or off by pressing F on your keyboard. And if you press number keys, you can use inventory items, like 1 for the phone. There is an option for classic inventory view that will show you the numbers.

Cycle through the phone options with the arrow keys. Press enter to open the option, touch the phone screen or press enter again to use it. Press esc to go back and pick another phone option. You can actually type codes into the notepad on the phone to save them when you find them. Press enter to choose the notepad and type the code on your keyboard to save it.

This game features the ability to use your microphone. There is really no need to, except for one little thing at the very end of the game, and it will play out even if you don’t use the microphone. I suggest never using it because if you talk while lighting matches, they blow out.

There are a few important inventory items that will need to be combined. Batteries for the flashlight/torch, batteries for the phone, and syringes used to heal yourself.

The cloth is one of the most important items. There are places in the game to clean to find codes. Use it to wipe areas like walls and find your codes.

You can zoom in and out on game items with the middle mouse button, and hold the middle mouse button to move items. If you are holding an envelope and need to open it, hold down the middle mouse button and drag it to the right or down till it opens. You can do this with a few game items.

Most of the game’s computers need calibration. First, you need to find a power switch to turn the computer on. It’s hidden in the room. Then, you need to press two buttons on the bottom of the computer screen, just mouse over the left bottom till it says button and then do it for the right button. Use the arrow keys to get the calibration setting and press enter. Use the arrow keys, usually the down and left arrows to set the numbers to zero and center the screen. Press esc twice to leave the calibration setting menu. Type Admin and press enter. Now you need to find the password. It can be hidden in the room or in a phone message. Type it in and press enter. If you did it right, the computer will tell you to type help. Type help and press enter. Type LS and press enter. This lists the files. Type cat and the file’s full name with extension to read it, like cat data.txt, and press enter. Do this for each file. To play a mini game type run and the file’s full name with extension, like run tennis.elf, and press enter. To exit the mini game and use the computer again pres esc. You can also type mail and press enter to check email. I never found any email.
Collectable Items
There are eight teddy bears to find. They do not appear in your inventory after you find them, but they will show up in the Extras/Statistics (Game Score) area in the menu after you have finished the game. I will give the location of the bears in each of the rooms, and at the end of this walkthrough.
Signs of Illusion
There are six signs of Illusion to find in the game. They can be found using the UV light on walls in different rooms. For exact locations, look through the individual room sections, and at the end of this walkthrough. Finding these signs will show up in your Extras/Statistics (Game Score) area in the menu after you have finished the game.
Confession Notes
There are fourteen confession notes to find hidden in various rooms. Make sure you read them all so they show up in your Extras/Statistics (Game Score) area in the menu after you have finished the game. Look through each room section for locations.
Newspapers and Other Code Pages
You should read every paper you can find. The newspapers contain important plot information. You can zoom in on them with the middle mouse button, and you can move them and turn them with the mouse buttons. Hold down the middle mouse button to move it, hold down and rotate with the left. Some single pages may contain game codes. Sometimes, the words or numbers may be reversed, upside down, mirrored, or both. Sometimes a word is hidden inside a word. Sometimes a number code is hidden inside the paper and you must zoom in or out to see it. If you are having trouble seeing a code and the paper looks blank, darken or lighten your screen, tilt your head to the side and move back alittle till you can make it out. I’ve found if I look at it sideways and move back alittle, it’s easier to see the numbers.

Some codes can only be found using your UV light. Remember to search every room with it.
Mini Games
There are mini games on the phone and on the computers. They are supposed to up your health if you play and win, but I never played them long enough to really test that out or see a difference. If you are low on health and don’t have any syringes, give it a try. To play a computer game, after you have listed the computer’s files, type run and the full name of the game with the .elf extension, press enter. Press esc key to exit the mini game and use the computer again. Try the phone games, too. Just choose one and press enter to play.
Endings
There are five game endings. These are based on your decisions in the game. I’m going to list ending spoilers at the end of this walkthrough, and I will tell you when a critical decision comes up during gameplay and how to get each ending.
Extras
The extras on the game menu, like the artwork, are not unlockable in this version.
Rooms
There are twenty rooms. I’m going to give a summary of what to do and find in each one and how to figure out the codes.
Room One -- Locker Room
This is your first room. You wake up chained to a pipe. You can click the inscription. Then move the mouse till you see small ??? and click, this will start the room. You might see Illusion leaving through the door. Now, all you can do is find a note that has the code for the chain. There is a paper that looks kind of blank or the code looks very light. Tilt your head to the side and move back alittle till you can make it out. You can lighten or darken your screen if you still have trouble seeing it. If you have trouble typing the code in, there is a game setting to have the on screen keyboard set to on. Try it, then you can just type it in that way. To access the game settings just press esc key on your keyboard.

Once you are free from the chains, look all over the room and take your inventory items. You should find the following items: A key, a cloth, matches, and a phone. Open the chest with the key, take the bottle.

Things to click on: Light a match and use it around the room to see everything. Newspaper, poster, picture of Sara, Dictaphone, read the confession note on the wall, light switch, turn the valve counter clockwise till off. Click the rat and the insect.

Use the cloth on the red area next the door till you see the phone code. Unlock the phone. Call the emergency number. Check the phone message. To move inside the phone menu, hit esc and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to cycle through all the phone options. Check the phone’s Notes, that’s where you will find the code for unlocking the door. Check the phone’s settings to set your ringtone. You can play the phone’s mini games, if you want to.

Use the code from the phone’s notes, unlock the room’s door. The game will auto save. You also have the option of saving wherever you want to. To save the game, hit esc key, find the save game option. Then just choose to continue the game.

Room One also has a hidden sign of Illusion. You can only see it with the UV light. So remember to come back here once you have it.
Room Two -- Cold Freezer Room
Room Two is the cold freezer room. You can die in this room if you don’t hurry up. When you first walk in, you should get a phone call from Illusion. It’s a good idea to also check the phone’s messages every time you are in a new room.

Light a match to look around. Click on the temperature. Light the candle you find, then take the bottle from your inventory and put it in the brazier (trash). Light a match and set the brazier on fire. Move the crate next to it till you see the code on the wall. Now look at the floor in front of the brazier. You should see a code there. These are parts of the door codes, but there are more to find.

Always click on all locked doors. Sometimes Robert will give important plot info about the writing on them.

Open the locker door on your right and find a key. Find the chest in the room that has a note about you being poisoned. Read that note, use the key on that chest. Take the syringe. If your health isn’t that bad yet, don’t use the syringe till it gets to the horrible stage. You only get a few syringes in the game, try to save them till needed.

Click the dictaphone, it’s usually on or under the table on your right. This gives you important plot info about Robert and Sara and Patrick. Sara is a lawyer and she works cases that Robert investigates. Their marriage is having problems. And Robert spends alot of time working with Patrick trying to figure out who Illusion is.

Find the note that talks about things being seen from a distance. Zoom in on the note till you see the code. Open the chest with it. Now, you should have all the door codes. Enter the codes as follows, the wall code that was behind the crate you moved is first, the brazier floor code is second, the chest code is third, and the code next to the candle by the lockers is fourth. If you look at the floor in Normal/Easy mode, you will find arrows pointing to each number to help you. Leave the room when you unlock the door.
Room Three -- Crime Scene Room
Room Three is the Crime Scene room. This is an important room that will determine what ending you get.

Take the UV light. From now on, you will need to use it in every room all over the place, walls, pillars, floors, ceilings, objects. You will find important codes and hints with it.

There is a pillar on your right, use the cloth on it till you find the tiny code. Also on the pillar, read the confession note and use the UV light to see the Sign of Illusion.

The timed sequence that determines the ending will not start until you open the chest with the key. I usually try to open it last. If you can read the small code without the magnifying glass, you can delay the timer till the end, if it is too small to read, use the key on the chest, listen to Patrick’s phone call, take the magnifying glass from the chest and use it on the pillar, check phone messages.

If you didn’t need the magnifying glass to read the number, take the UV light and use it all over the room, click the door to hear what Robert says about the case. Then click all the objects on the floor.

On your right, near the door, move the wood till you find a switch. Click the switch to turn on the computer power.

Look up at the ceiling till you find the teddy bear. You will not be able to get this bear till you have the knife from the next room.

Look at the bookshelf and move the jar till you find the note with the code. Look at the code and see how it is numbers and letters. This is the first part of the computer password, the numbers on the pillar are the second part. If you can read the one on the pillar, click the computer. There are two buttons on the bottom of the computer screen. Press the left and then the right. Hit enter and use your arrow keys to select calibration, hit enter. Use your down and right arrow keys to set it to zero for both numbers. Hit esc key twice till the calibration menu is gone. Now type Admin and hit enter, type in the code from the note by the jar and the tiny pillar code. Hit enter. If you did it right, it will tell you to type help. So type help, hit enter. Type LS and hit enter. Type cat data.txt and hit enter. This will give you part of the door code to leave the room. Do not do anything else with the computer yet. Back away from it by clicking and holding on the bottom of the screen when it says to click there to go back. Now, if you haven’t already done so, use the key on the chest.

This will trigger a phone call from Patrick. As soon as the call ends, check the phone messages. Read the new one that tells you how to save Patrick. Take the magnifying glass from the chest. Do not leave this room without it. You will need it later. You can use it on the pillar to zoom in on the tiny numbers. Use your middle mouse button with it to zoom. Now, you are on a timer to save Patrick’s life.

You can save him or just let it run out and he will die. He is helpful later in the game, so you might want him around. To save him, go back to the computer. Type in cat clark.txt and hit enter. Robert will say he found the code. Back away from the computer. Patrick will call you and Robert will give him the code.

You can play the mini games on all of the computers. Type run and the full game’s name with the extension. Hit enter. All of the game’s computers are used the same way. If you need to remember how to use one, just read through this section again. I also explained it earlier in the walkthrough in the section on using items.

To leave this room, go back to the computer and read the number from the data.txt file you saw earlier, that’s the first part of the door code. Combine it with the code written in UV light on the wall near the door. Now you can leave the room.
Room Four -- The Autopsy Room
Room Four is the autopsy room. And there is a dead body waiting for you to carve up.

Light a match and light the candle. Take out your UV light. Search the room for a phone battery and a full syringe, take both. Use the battery on your phone to charge it. Check your phone messages. And if your health has gotten bad, you can use the syringe. Read the newspaper and the confession note. Click the window and read the UV writing on it. Read the paper about the poison. Take the teddy bear off the shelf. Click the locked door and click the car door. Click the autopsy table.

Now, find the strange looking code paper with colored numbers that almost look double. They are. Half each one to get the code for the chest. One of them is a letter Z. Get the knife from the chest.

Look at the other code note in the room that has a word on it. Read the word backwards to get the real word that is part of the door code. It might be backwards and upside down. If you get stuck on it. You can either use a mirror on it or do a screenshot, open it in a paint program and flip the pic around till you can figure out the word. If you really cannot get it, reset the level till you get a better word. The word is the second part of the door code.

To get the first half of the door code, take the knife and click it on the chest of the dead body. Drag it across him to cut. Take the knife back and click on the body to get the envelope. Hold down and drag the middle mouse button across the envelope to open it and get the rest of the door code. Combine the word and this code to unlock the door. If it won’t work, try reversing them. Put the numbers first, then the word. Make sure you are typing in the correct word, sometimes you just have the word wrong, like it might be bat instead of tap. But don’t go through it just yet.

Go back to Room One and use the UV light on the lockers till you see the Sign of Illusion. Then go back to Room Three and use the knife to cut down the teddy bear. Now you are ready to go to room Five. So walk back here and go through the door.
Room Five -- The Doll Room
Room Five is the doll room. And there is a creepy doll waiting for you.

Take the torch (flashlight). Click on the dolls in the chair. Find the confession note and read it. Click on all the pictures in the room and drag them whichever way they go until you find a key. Do not use the key yet.

Take your cloth and wipe the mirror clean till you find a code. Click on the pieces of paper on the floor. Move and rotate the pieces till you have a paper with the computer password. Read it from left to right for each group of two, top level first. Move the bird to turn the power on for the computer. Do the same calibration steps you did in Room Three. Type in admin for the username, enter the password from the torn paper. Hit enter and type help, hit enter and type LS and hit enter. To read the files, type cat and then the file name just like you did before. When you are done with the computer, make sure you search the whole room with the UV light. Click on the closed door, too. Check phone messages. Sometimes there is one.

You can save the game here.

Now, use the key on the chest, grab the battery. The lights go out. Immediately put the battery in the torch. Click on the torch and exit the inventory. You will find that the creepy doll is now running around the room. You must keep trying to touch the doll and keep the torch on, you can die here. Shake the mouse from side to side fast if it goes out. After you have touched the doll several times, it will slide a code paper on the floor next to the desk. Another code paper is by the doll’s chair. So now you have three codes including the mirror code. Combine the three codes to unlock the door. The code by the desk is first, the mirror code is second, the one by the doll chair is last. If the lights are out when you unlock the door, just grab the UV light or torch to see. Go through the door.
Room Six -- The Spider Room
Room six is the spider room. You can get attacked by the spiders and die in this room. This room is also a critical decision room that will affect the game ending. When you enter the room, you will get a phone call from Illusion. He tells you to solve his riddle on your phone, or he will kill Sara. He says there is an app on your phone called Surprise that is counting down. I’ve never seen it. I just had the riddle option. It may be a translation thing. After the phone call, you will get a text message telling you how to solve the riddle, so immediately check messages. It’s up to you if you want to save Sara. This is how to save her.

There is a small moveable spider egg on the floor to the right of the pillar. Move it to uncover an arrow. The arrow points to which spider is hiding the key to the chest. To safely get the key, only touch the web when it says cobweb. Then the spider will move. Only take the key when it says it is the key. If you touch the spider, it will kill you. Use the key to open the chest. Use your UV light on the pillar to find the other part of the code. Combine the chest code first and pillar code last, type them into the riddle. It should change it to a :) You have saved Sara.

Look around this room with your UV light. Read the paper about Illusion’s mask. There is a syringe in here. Find the valve on your right, turn it counter clockwise till the door’s steam is off. Use the UV light on the pipe on the floor in front of you to get the door code to unlock the door. Type that code into the keypad and leave the room.
Room Seven -- The Crossword Room
Room Seven is the crossword room. It looks alot harder than it is. If you saved Patrick, you will immediately get a phone call from him. Also, check phone messages.

There is a teddy bear on your right on the floor. Move it and take it. Look for a confession note. Use your UV light to look for a Sign of Illusion, it’s usually by the steam valve. Turn the steam valve counter clockwise to turn off the steam. Click the locked door. Take the syringe off the floor.

This door requires three separate passwords. If you are playing on Normal/Easy mode, look for the small sparkle next to the words. The words will be simple like tag, rat, lit, enter, door. They are usually underlined or circled in red. Make sure you are looking all over the room for the words, they can be anywhere. If you really get stuck, you can reset the level to get better words. Once you have entered all three, the door will unlock. Go through the door.
Room Eight -- The Furnace Room
Room Eight is the furnace room. If you don’t hurry up, you can die in this room. There is a lighter to take. Grab it. There is a teddy bear in this room, usually on your right in the dark, take it. There is a key hanging up. Cut the key down. There’s a phone battery on the floor, take it. Read the newspaper. There are three valves to turn off. Turn them all off. Click on both locked doors. Check your phone messages.

Use the key on the chest. If you have trouble reading the code, use the torch and the magnifying glass. Use this code on the door to your right. Save the game before you enter it. This next room is a trap room.
Room Nine -- Ceiling Trap Room
Room nine is the ceiling trap room. As soon as you enter it, the ceiling starts coming down to kill you. If you are not fast enough, you will die.

Immediately look to the left, there is a yellow wall box you can slide open for a code, then to the left of that there is a small grating you can slide open for the other part of the code. There is a keypad on the right wall, you enter these codes there, NOT the keypad for the trailer door, yellow box code first, grating code second. The ceiling will stop coming down once you’ve entered the codes.

There is a torch battery on the floor, take it. Read the newspaper and the confession paper. Slide open the grating near the trailer door, there’s never anything in it. Look at the note on the right wall near the keypad. You might have to tilt your head, move back or lighten or darken your screen to see the number. That’s part of the door code for the other door in the furnace room. Just remember it, we aren’t using it yet. I’m going to show you how to open the trailer door first.
Trailer Room -- The Secret Room
The trailer room is the secret room that unlocks the fifth ending of the game. This ending will show after the game’s credits when you have finished the game. The first part of the door code can only be found by going to a hidden website link in one of the game’s promo trailers. If you never saw the trailer, this code is always 43.

To find the second part of the door code, use the UV light on the wall near the floor on your left till you find a long number code. The middle set of numbers with a plus in front and in back is usually part of the door code. In my game it was 40, your will be different. If you have trouble, try each one and type it after you type 43, so in my game, I typed 4340 and the trailer door unlocked. The game will auto save. Go in the door, if you saved Patrick, you will get a phone call from him. This room also contains a teddy bear, take it. There is nothing else to do in here, but you can take a minute to replace your torch and phone batteries and use a syringe if needed. Exit the room, look at the code paper on your right again if you have forgotten it, save your game, and go back to the furnace room.
Back in Room Eight -- The Furnace Room
You will be immediately attacked by Illusion. Grab your torch from inventory or just press F. You must move the torch and shine it on him to keep him away or you will die. Do this several times until he goes away. He will leave a code on your right towards the floor, find it. Combine this code with the code from the room you were just in. Use this code on the door to your left. The code on the floor is first, the code from the wall is second. It should auto save, but you might want to save here, too. Go in the door.
Room Ten -- The Clown Room
This is the clown room, and he can kill you if you aren’t careful. Take out the torch and hold it on the clown so he doesn’t attack you. Shake the torch fast if it goes out. You will need to keep doing this until the clown disappears. He will leave you a code on his chair. This is the first part of the door code.

Take out the cloth and look for an area across from you on the dumpster toward your left to wipe off for the rest of the code.

The codes in this room are very tricky, and it is easy to get stuck on them. They can be upside down, reversed, out of order. You will have to try every combination. Sometimes a six is a nine, or a five is a two, a one might be seven. If it looks like it’s 69, it might be 96. And the other code might look like 80, but be 08. So you would have to try 0896, 8069, 0869, 8096, 9680, 6908, and so on. You get the idea. Just keep trying, if you really get that stuck, first use the torch and the magnifying glass to enlarge the numbers, it might help. The chair code is supposed to be first, the dumpster code second. If you still cannot do it, reset the level to get better numbers.

You can look around this room with the UV light and the torch. I don’t think there is anything else in here, so just go through to the next room.
Room Eleven -- The Music Room
Room eleven is the music room. You should immediately get a phone call about winning the lottery. Check your phone messages after the call. If you saved Patrick, he left you a message with the code to the chest in this room. If he is dead, there is a way to get the code from the computer.

There is a teddy bear behind a crate in this room, move the crate, take the bear. Use the UV light all over the room to find a Sign of Illusion, a computer code, and a Lenny Face. There is a phone battery and a torch battery to take. Read the newspaper, click on the locked door. If you are playing with the music off, it will already be unlocked. If you have the music on, go into settings, turn the music to zero. There is a clue on the wall on your left in UV light and an audio sign. That’s how to unlock the door. Do NOT go in yet.

We are going to use the computer and open the chest first. If you got Patrick’s phone message, use the code on the chest and take the syringe. If you didn’t get a message, there is a file on the computer.

To use the computer, type admin, the password is on the wall to the left of it in UV light. To figure out the password, the numbers are consecutive depending on where the dots are. If your numbers are …10…12, your password would be 9, 10, 11, 12. Type it into the computer like this: 9101112. It’s very easy. Your numbers may be different, but it’s done the same way. If it’s …6…8, the numbers would be 5,6,7,8 or 5678 typed in.

Inside this computer you will find a secret file on Patrick and a lootbox file. All the computers in the game work the same, so you should know how to list the files by typing help and then LS. Type cat and full file name to read them. The lootbox file should either give you the code or a hint to the code for the box. I saved Patrick, so this code didn’t work for me, and it may simply not be working in this version of the game. When you have finished with the computer, you can now leave the room.
Room Twelve -- The Candle Room
Room twelve is the candle room. You will be in total darkness when you enter it. Light a match. Light the candles to your immediate right and left with matches. You can use the lighter on the remaining candles. There are two to your far left and two to your far right. The room will light up. Look for the confession note. Look around the room with the UV light. I don’t think there is anything else in this room.

Look at the paper with the word on it, turn it upside down for part of the door code, it should be the first part. For the second part, pick up the match box, use your middle mouse key to drag it open. There is the second part of the door code in it. Type the word and the numbers into the keypad to unlock the door. Go through.
Room Thirteen -- The Bathroom
Room thirteen is a bathroom. You should get a phone call from Patrick. Also check phone messages. There is a syringe and torch battery to take. Light the candle. Click on the locked door. Read the confession note. Use the UV light to find the Sign of Illusion on the wall, try the wall to your right for it. There is a grating on your right that can be moved. It has part of the door code. The other part is a word.

Take the piece of paper on your right, hold it over the letters on the wall. You can move it and zoom in and out with it till you can figure out the word. It’s not hard to see it. It might be book or darkness or something else. Type the word first and the numbers from the grating last into the keypad to unlock the door. Go through.
Room Fourteen -- The Prison Cell Room
Room fourteen is the prison cell room. You will get a phone call from Illusion. After the phone call, check phone messages. Click on the locked door. Use the UV light to search the room.

Move the box in front of the wall to get a hammer. Take it. Click the inscription on the wall over the bed. It says follow the light. Turn off the light switch. You will see the three bricks that look like you can do something with them. You have to take the hammer and knock out all three bricks. Hold the hammer over a brick, move the mouse with wide swings back and fourth several times till the brick is gone. The harder you hit it, the faster it will go. Do this for the other two bricks.

Now you should see a small set of three codes. Take the magnifying glass and zoom in on them to see them better. These codes are often upside down and reversed. It’s similar to the clown room’s coding, but now you have three parts. You have to try several combinations to unlock the door. Try them as if they were upside down, try them as if they were reversed. If it looks like 03 79 2, try 30 97 5, you get the idea. Remember, if one of the numbers has a plus in front and in back, it’s the middle number. If you really get stuck, reset the level for better numbers. Unlock the door, go through.
Room Fifteen -- The VCR Room
Room fifteen is the VCR room. Take the video off the floor and use it on the tv for part of the door code.

On your right, you will find a phone. Turn it upside down for the other part of the door code. It’s a word. Don’t use it yet.

Read the confession note. Click the clock to turn it on. Take the teddy bear off the shelf behind the clock. Read the note near it. Use the UV light around the room. Check phone messages.

The clock numbers are the password for the computer. Type admin and use the clock numbers to access the computer. Read the files. Exit the computer.

Click the locked door. Then enter the word code and the tv code combined. The door should unlock, go through.
Room Sixteen -- The Key Room
Room sixteen is the key room. If you saved Sara, you will get a phone call from her. You might get a phone call from Patrick in here. You need to cut down the key that has Robert’s name written on it.

There is a teddy bear in this room, take it. There is a Sign of Illusion on the wall. Use your UV light to find it, try the wall to the left of the door. Click the locked door. Find and take the torch and phone batteries. Replace the batteries in those items and use a syringe if you need to.

On your right is a clock, click it to turn it on.

Use the key on the crate to your right. Use the UV light or torch to read the code. Use this code on the left crate.

The new code is the first part of the door code. The second part of the code is the blinking minute numbers on the clock. Just the blinking ones. So combine the chest code with the blinking numbers to unlock the door. Don’t go through yet.

It is a good idea to make sure you have used a syringe and replaced torch and phone batteries. You can die in the next room.

Save the game. Now you are ready to move on. Go through the door.
Room Seventeen -- The Cemetery Room
Room seventeen is the cemetery room. Look for a paper with a word on it. You need to zoom in and rotate it. There is a word inside the word. Sometimes it is evil, file, heh, it can be anything. It is part of the door code. Click Robert’s gravestone and he will give you a clue. The last two numbers for the year of death are another part of the door code.

Open Sara’s coffin and click on the note. You will get a phone call from Illusion.

To get the last door numbers, you will have to use the hammer on the rock with the x on it. As soon as the rock is broken, you will be attacked by Illusion. You have to be fast and press F or grab your torch from inventory. Use the torch on Illusion to keep him away, the same way you did it in the furnace room. Just move it back and fourth and shake it when it goes out. After he is gone, you can read the code by where the rock was.

Combine all three codes to open the door. Word first, gravestone second, code from rock third. You can look around with the UV light, but I never found anything else in here. So unlock the door and go through.
Room Eighteen -- The Elevator Room
Room eighteen is the elevator room. You might get a phone call here, check phone messages, too. Close the door. Take the syringe off the floor. Save your game.

Look around with the UV light. There are two wall panels you can slide up. One has the paper with the first part of the door code. It is a word, but you need to turn the paper upside down and read it backward. If you really have trouble with it, you can take a screenshot of it and rotate in your paint program, or reset the level till you get an easier word. If it looks like tap, it might be bat.

The second half of the code are the numbers in front of you toward the ceiling. First replace your batteries for the phone and torch and use a syringe if needed. Enter the code for the elevator. Wait for it to go all the way down. You will get a jump scare or two. When it’s done moving, open the door. You might get a phone call depending on who you saved. After the call, go through the door.
Room Nineteen -- The Coffin Room
Room nineteen is the coffin room. You wake up in a coffin with your hands tied. Read the note on the floor. Directly in front of you and up is a nail. Click the nail and move the mouse up and down to cut the rope on your wrists. Now take the phone, matches and cloth.

Light a match and put it over your right shoe to scare a spider away. You will see a red area there to use the cloth on. Rub that area clean to see the numbers for the phone code, light another match if it’s too dark to see the code. Type the code into the phone.

Depending on who you saved, someone will call you. You will be told to keep the phone’s reception going so they can trace you. You have to do this or you can die. Take the phone and move it all over from side to side until you get strong signals. After you have done it several times, you will hear someone come. You will have to slide the coffin open. Click the person’s hand when they finish speaking.

If you let both Patrick and Sara die, you will die in this coffin with a sad ending.

If you let Patrick die, but you saved Sara, you won’t get the phone reception, just slide open the coffin. Sara will be there.
Room Twenty -- The Final Room
Room twenty is the final room. The only thing you can do here is remove Illusion’s mask. Click the mask, drag it all the way down. Illusion will speak. The credits will roll. Wait till after the credits for the secret ending if you entered the trailer room. You will not get room twenty if you let Patrick die and you saved Sara.
Ending Spoilers
There are five endings.

Save both Sara and Patrick, Sara was Illusion the whole time, she was shot and dies.

Save Sara and let Patrick die, Sara was Illusion the whole time, but she saves you, both of you live.

Save Patrick and let Sara die, Sara shoots and wounds Patrick and she was still Illusion, but the police save you and Patrick, Sara is shot and dies.

Let both Sara and Patrick die, you realize you spent too much time on your work and ignored the people in your life. You die in the coffin all alone.

The secret ending, you and Patrick are Illusion. You were framing Sara for the murders, but she is now dead and you need to use someone else to take her place.
Game Score Statistics
From the main menu, click on start the game, Extras, Statistics. Now you can see your game score.

There are 8 teddy bears to find.

There are 6 Signs of Illusion.

There are 14 Confession Notes.

Did you find them all? Replay for other endings and missed items.

There is an area about if you typed in bad words when you got mad at the game programmer. You can try doing that during game play.

Stuck on the operating room lvl. No matter how many times I restart the level, the "mirror or eye" note ALWAYS gives me the word FOOD, all in lowercase. Help? I've already tried 8 times and no change!!!!
