Beskrivelse
Adds the Ket people of Siberia, led by Olgit, to the game as a custom civilization. Requires Brave New World.

UNIQUE ABILITY: BANGOS SORCERY
Receive Food when a unit is killed in your territory, plus Faith if said unit was a Barbarian. When your borders expand, damage foreign units on or adjacent to the newly claimed tile.

UNIQUE UNIT: FISH-OIL BOWMAN
Replaces the Archer. Inflicts a "Poisoned" status on units it attacks, causing the target to lose half its current HP when it next moves.

UNIQUE UNIT: SENING
Replaces the Missionary. Grants +10% Combat Strength to adjacent units. If expended in a friendly city, claims a random unowned tile workable by that city.

This mod may be incompatible with other mods that replace ProductionPopup.lua. If you have issues relating to the production popup, try deleting ProductionPopup.lua from this mod's files.

Mod Support: Additional Achievements, Cities in Development, Civ IV Leader Traits in Civ V, Community Balance Patch, Cultural Diversity, Ethnic Units, Events & Decisions, Exploration Continued & Expanded, Mercenaries, Rise to Power, Unique Cultural Influence, Yet (Not) Another Earth Map Pack

and the fish oil bowman is very cool as it poison enemy units almost killing instantly if it the effects are on useful in early game against barbarian units and lol the barbarians were fleeing then

i played as the Ket before on a tsl giant earth map and i added the Evenk and Nenets mod from the other creators and i was constantly in war with them as they along with Mongolia failed to attack my cities as i was able to fend off them easily with my units. However this hindered me from developing the titles with improvements or farms so I moved away into empty northwestern china in late game by the ingame year of 1800. Overall i had fun and it this is a good mod on the fascinating Ket people of Siberia. Good Job!

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I've just updated the mod to incorporate that fix, as well as to correct the set of promotions granted to the Sening.

Alright, I don't understand Lua but I think I may have fixed the bug (at least it didn't show up in a half dozen fights against barbs). In function UnitTakesPoisonDamage I changed the fourth line to the following:

if pUnit and pUnit:IsHasPromotion(promoSickened) and pUnit:GetDamage() < 99 then

I basically added the last condition with the reasoning in that maybe it was sending negative numbers to the function and didn't know how to handle them, but here the number should always be positive.

Dumping ProductionPopup didn't fix the problem either, although oddly this time it didn't crash until I killed my second barb with archers.

Dang, I have the same issue with poisoned ground force crashing the game. I wonder if there is any way to fix the bug...

If I kill a poisoned ground force Civ crashes. The rest is fine - good ideas.

Interesting. That's not as OP as I first thought - I misread their ability as dealing 50HP rather than halving current HP - but it still sounds a bit too powerful IMO. I guess I'll have to try it out.

If you avoid moving, you don't stop being poisoned, but you *will* avoid the damage as long as you stay still. This can actually make it riskier to try and heal in place— since the poison damage is based on the unit's current HP, not maximum, the unit will take more damage if they're closer to full HP. (Ranged units will be less troubled by poison, though, since they can continue to attack without moving.)

Can you counter the UU? That is, if the targeted unit doesn't move, does it stop being poisoned after a turn?
