This is extremely unusuall. I've never seen any program do this before...

Alt-Enter does basically the same thing. It switches between the view you see above and having it centralized but cropping off a part of the screen.

This was before now though.

I tried lowering the resolution and it did help but after a certain point you get it so low that it causes it to BSOD.

If that doesn't help, try starting with a fresh config file. Delete the file config.cfg in baseq2 folder in your Steam Quake 2 install. And if you're using the Yamagi port, delete the config.cfg found in %userprofile%\Documents\YamagiQ2\baseq2

Make sure to delete both cfg files before restarting.

Looks like you're using a higher resolution than your monitor can handle. Try pressing alt+enter

I'm using Windows 10 and so far there have been no issues besides Avast throwing a temper tantrum when it realizes that YQ2 is rare. It might be worth the upgrade. otherwise you can use the old style aspect ratio. It doesn't bother me all that much but I'm used to gaming on low end hardware. Intel graphics 620 is not even close to being able to run the majority of modern games. If you are using OpenGL 1.4 with the game, that might also be a problem. I reccommend using the OpenGL 3.2 option that YQ2 comes with. If worst comes to worst, try upgrading to Windows 10. Also, if your hard drive is nearly full, transfer a lot of your games to an external hard drive. For some reason when a hard drive is almost full, it tends to bug out from time to time, loading files incorrectly and even causing full on crashes.

Think that's what I used, I'm on Windows 8.1. Do you know anything I can do with what I've got?

Are you using Yamagi Q2? It seems to have trouble from time to time, but it's rare that it does. Since Q2 is an older game, it might work on a cheap Linux PC, but I don't know. If anything, it was developed for Linux and ported to Windows so you might have better luck on Linux. Since the Rasperry Pi is built off Linux, that might be worth a shot. You might not get the best performance though.

@McBean56545 You're fine lol, and thanks! It's a great movie :)
I'm having a lot of problems getting Quake 2 to work because it's not designed for widescreen so it either goes to one side or crops off half the screen.
