There's other solutions out there of course, but one would have to download and replace large archives with original retail data. I compared the files inside these archives with steam version and uploaded a separate archive containing only missing/different files. There's no need to replace the original CondemnedA.Arch00 file, since the game is perfectly capable of loading new archives separately.

Unpack everything to root directory, replacing default.archcfg in the process.

Widescreen fix also contains default.archcfg, but they are identical between archives. It is used to make the game load arch00 archives without needing to replace them.

Unpack everything to root directory, overwrite default.archcfg.
If you're not a fan of menu textures, delete Game/CondemnedZ.Arch00 archive and/or set FixMenu = 0 inside scripts/Condemned.WidescreenFix.ini.

Some users report that FixSave option is not working properly, as of 2025 this problem should be resolved. If you still encounter it, open an issue on github. Set FixSave = 0 in the ini file, if you can't save your game with this fix.

Widescreen Fix now features full gamepad support, nothing extra is needed, just unpack files to game folder, configure key bindings in menu and play.

To use gamepad, you need to manually set key bindings in game options.
